When to Use

  • When intercepting web traffic that sends POST requests to /graphql, /v1/graphql, or /api/graphql.
  • When requests contain {"query": "query { ... }"} or {"variables": {...}} JSON structures.
  • To rapidly map the entire application data model (Introspection), or to test for IDOR/BOLA by exploiting deep relational nesting.

Prerequisites

  • Authorized scope and target URLs from bug bounty program
  • Burp Suite Professional (or Community) configured with browser proxy
  • Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and common web vulnerability classes
  • SecLists wordlists for fuzzing and enumeration
