pine-importer

pine-importer is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from Signal-Execution-Labs/forex-trading-ai-agent. It costs 0 tokens per session (857 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A converter for Pine Script, the language used to write indicators and trading strategies on TradingView. It turns supported Pine Script versions into K.I.T. indicators or skills written in TypeScript.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to import Pine files, public TradingView scripts, or clipboard code; convert indicators, plots, alerts, and supported strategy commands; and generate trading signals or TypeScript output.
Why use it?
It removes much of the manual rewriting needed to reuse public or existing TradingView scripts in K.I.T. It can also validate the converted result against sample data.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.00857
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00428
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00171
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00086

Security

Grade A, and why

pine-importer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Pine Script Importer

Import TradingView Pine Script indicators and strategies into K.I.T.

Overview

Converts Pine Script (v4/v5/v6) to K.I.T. native format:

  • Import popular TradingView indicators
  • Convert community scripts to K.I.T. skills
  • Maintain Pine logic in JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Auto-generate alerts and trading signals

Features

Supported Pine Versions

  • Pine Script v4
  • Pine Script v5
  • Pine Script v6 (partial - footprint API)

Conversion Capabilities

  • Variables: study/indicator variables
  • Inputs: input.int, input.float, input.string, input.bool
  • Built-ins: ta.sma, ta.ema, ta.rsi, ta.macd, etc.
  • Plotting: plot(), plotshape(), plotchar()
  • Alerts: alertcondition(), alert()
  • Strategies: strategy.entry(), strategy.exit()

Conversion Process

  1. Parse: Analyze Pine Script AST
  2. Map: Convert functions to K.I.T. equivalents
  3. Generate: Output TypeScript indicator
  4. Validate: Test against sample data
  5. Package: Create K.I.T. skill

Usage

# Import from file
kit pine import ./my_indicator.pine

# Import from TradingView URL (public scripts)
kit pine import https://tradingview.com/script/abc123

# Import from clipboard
kit pine import --clipboard

# Convert to specific output
kit pine import ./script.pine --output typescript
kit pine import ./script.pine --output python

Configuration

pine_importer:
  default_output: typescript
  preserve_comments: true
  add_jsdoc: true
  validate_after_import: true
test_data_source: yahoo # yahoo, coingecko, manual

  # Function mappings for unsupported Pine functions
  custom_mappings:
    ta.vwap: kit.indicators.vwap
    request.security: kit.mtf.get

Limitations

Cannot convert:

  • request.security with complex barmerge (simplified fallback)
  • Pine v6 footprint. API* (use K.I.T. native instead)
  • Visual elements (backgrounds, fills - alerts only)
  • Protected scripts (invite-only indicators)

Files

What ships with it

1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
