israeli-payroll-calculator

israeli-payroll-calculator is a skill for Claude Code from skills-il/accounting. It costs 175 tokens per session (5,553 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A calculator for Israeli payslips that turns an agreed gross salary into an estimated take-home salary after income tax, national insurance, health tax, pension, and other listed deductions.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to estimate net salary, employer cost, tax credits, company-car value, or deductions from a payslip. It does not first work out unpaid wages or overtime from hours worked.
Why use it?
It helps explain where gross pay goes and avoids calculating several Israeli payroll deductions separately. It also checks whether the stated gross is below the applicable minimum wage.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00175 $0.05553
Opus 5 $0.00088 $0.02776
Sonnet 5 $0.00035 $0.01111
Haiku 4.5 $0.00017 $0.00555

Security

Grade A, and why

israeli-payroll-calculator scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 1 executable file (scripts/calculate_payroll.py), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Instructions

Scope check before anything else. This skill converts an AGREED GROSS into net. If the user does not yet know the gross, because the question is really about hours worked, overtime tiers, Shabbat premium, paid versus unpaid breaks, or an employer who kept no attendance record, that is a different computation and it comes first: israeli-attendance-wage-checker produces the gross owed from a timesheet, and this skill takes it from there.

Step 0: Sanity-check the gross against the minimum wage

Before computing anything, check the gross is legal. The monthly minimum wage is 6,247.67 NIS from 1.4.2025 and 6,443.85 NIS from 1.4.2026, with an hourly minimum of 35.40 NIS from 1.4.2026. A full-time gross below the figure in force for the month being computed is either a part-time position, an error in the input, or an underpayment worth flagging to the user before the arithmetic starts.

Step 1: Gather Employee Information

Collect from user:

  • Gross monthly salary (bruto, cash) in NIS
  • Tax credit points (nekudot zikui): Default 2.25 for male resident, 2.75 for female
  • Shovi rechev (company-car use value, if any): Monthly NIS value. See Step 1.5.
  • Other taxable allowances (shovi telephone, meals above exemption, etc.)
  • Pension arrangement: Yes/No, contribution percentages
  • Employment type: Employee (sachir), Freelancer (atzmai)
  • Bituach Leumi insurance category: Age, whether an old-age pension is already being drawn, whether the employee is a controlling shareholder (בעל שליטה) in their own close company, whether they first became an Israeli resident after age 62, and whether they are a soldier in regular service, an organ donor or a treaty-country foreign resident. This picks the rate row and is NOT optional for anyone who is not a plain 18-to-retirement resident employee. See Step 3.

Step 1.5: Identify Taxable Imputed Income (shovi rechev, etc.)

Shovi rechev and other employer-provided benefits are taxable imputed income, not a perk. They increase the tax and NI base but are NOT received as cash. This is the single most common source of wrong payroll calculations.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
