Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00076 $0.01595
Opus 5 $0.00038 $0.00797
Sonnet 5 $0.00015 $0.00319
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00160

Security

Grade A, and why

install-openfaas-standard scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Install OpenFaaS Standard on k3s — minimal path

Every command below earns its place. Do not add steps, checks, waits, or research. Retries on actions, never barriers on state: nothing here watches pods or polls readiness — if an action can fail transiently, it is retried until it succeeds, and the retried action doubles as the probe.

1. Tooling + cluster + docker (one screen)

arkade get k3sup kubectl faas-cli helm
export PATH=$PATH:$HOME/.arkade/bin
mkdir -p ~/.kube
k3sup install --local --local-path ~/.kube/config --k3s-extra-args '--disable traefik'
export KUBECONFIG=$HOME/.kube/config
curl -LSs https://get.docker.com | sudo bash
sudo usermod -aG docker ubuntu
sudo systemctl start docker

Do not wait for the node. The next commands go through the API server, which k3sup has already confirmed.

2. OpenFaaS Standard via the Helm chart

Licence file is expected at ~/openfaas-license. The secret must contain only the JWT. Some licence files carry a comment block followed by a --- separator with the token after it — creating the secret from such a file verbatim gives a gateway CrashLoopBackOff. If the file contains ---, extract what follows it first:

grep -q -- '---' ~/openfaas-license && sed -n '/^---$/,$p' ~/openfaas-license | tail -n +2 > ~/openfaas-license.jwt && mv ~/openfaas-license.jwt ~/openfaas-license
kubectl apply -f https://raw.githubusercontent.com/openfaas/faas-netes/master/namespaces.yml
kubectl create secret generic openfaas-license -n openfaas --from-file license=$HOME/openfaas-license
helm repo add openfaas https://openfaas.github.io/faas-netes
helm upgrade --install openfaas openfaas/openfaas -n openfaas \
  --set openfaasPro=true --set clusterRole=true \
  --set functions.imagePullPolicy=IfNotPresent

Do not watch the rollout. Go straight to the function build — the cluster pulls images while you work. The gateway is a NodePort at http://127.0.0.1:31112 (chart default); no port-forward is needed.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
