plantuml-architect

plantuml-architect is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from smartbrainactivity/visual-diagramming-export. It costs 85 tokens per session (715 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow for creating formal UML diagrams, which describe software structure or behavior, using PlantUML code and delivering compiled SVG images.

In plain words
What is it for?
It is for producing formal sequence, class, component, use-case, and architecture diagrams from PlantUML source.
Why use it?
It turns complex architecture, class, sequence, and use-case descriptions into diagrams that can be viewed and shared.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00085 $0.00715
Opus 5 $0.00043 $0.00358
Sonnet 5 $0.00017 $0.00143
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00072

Security

Grade A, and why

plantuml-architect scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 1 executable file (scripts/generate_url.js), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

PlantUML Architect

This skill enables Claude to author highly technical, formal UML diagrams (structural or behavioral) and deliver them as instantly viewable SVG images by transparently compiling the code against the public Kroki API.

When to Use This Skill

  • The user asks for a strict Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagram.
  • The user requests a "Sequence diagram", "Class diagram", "Component network", or "Use case diagram".
  • The user specifically requests "PlantUML", "Kroki", or "SVG diagram from code".
  • The hierarchy is extremely complex and not suited for simple mind maps or manual whiteboarding.

How to Execute the Workflow

1. Author the PlantUML Source Code

Produce the PlantUML syntax enclosed in @startuml and @enduml blocks. Ensure you strictly follow Sentence Case for all text labels, nodes, and action descriptions. Example structure:

@startuml
skinparam handwritten false
skinparam backgroundColor transparent

node "User Browser" as user
node "Web Server" as web
database "PostgreSQL" as db

user -> web : Request Dashboard
web -> db : Query User Data
db --> web : Return JSON
web --> user : Render View
@enduml

2. Save the Source Code Locally

Save the generated raw PlantUML code to a fast temporary file inside the diagrams/ folder of this skill, for example: diagrams/diagram.puml.

3. Generate the Hosted Image Link

The final deliverable should NOT be raw code strings, but a working, visual image. To achieve this cleanly and efficiently, use the bundled URL generation script provided with this skill.

Command to execute: Execute the custom standalone script located in the scripts/ folder using the run_command tool. Point it to the file in the diagrams/ folder:

node "C:\Users\FL2024\.gemini\antigravity\skills\visual-diagramming-export\plantuml-architect\scripts\generate_url.js" "diagrams/diagram.puml"

(Note: If the terminal returns an error like "node is not recognized", you MUST stop and run node c:\Users\FL2024\.gemini\antigravity\skills\visual-diagramming-export\scripts\start-skill.js to trigger the installation wizard for the user).

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

plantuml-architect is a skill published in the GitHub repository smartbrainactivity/visual-diagramming-export (3 stars, last pushed 6mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 85 tokens to every session and 715 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
