fleet-logs

fleet-logs is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from Snowflake-Labs/cocoplus. It costs 50 tokens per session (508 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command that displays the output log for one CocoFleet instance, showing recent lines while it runs or the complete log after it stops.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to monitor a live instance, review its completed output, and check its final status.
Why use it?
It lets you inspect what a worker process has done and whether it finished or failed without opening log files manually.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00050 $0.00508
Opus 5 $0.00025 $0.00254
Sonnet 5 $0.00010 $0.00102
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00051

Security

Grade A, and why

fleet-logs scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Your objective is to show output logs for a CocoFleet instance.

Before proceeding, verify that .cocoplus/ exists. If not: output "CocoPlus not initialized in this directory. Run $pod init to begin." Then stop.

Parse arguments: $fleet logs [fleet-id] [instance-id] If missing: output "Usage: $fleet logs [fleet-id] [instance-id]" Then stop.

Log file: .cocoplus/fleet/[instance-id]/output.log If not found: output "No log file found for [instance-id]. The instance may not have started yet." Then stop.

Read state file to determine if instance is still running. Check if PID in state.json is alive using a cross-platform Node.js one-liner: node -e "try{process.kill([pid],0);console.log('alive')}catch(e){console.log('dead')}"

If alive (instance still running):

  • Output last 50 lines of output.log
  • Append: "[Instance is still running — showing last 50 lines. Re-run $fleet logs to refresh.]"

If dead (instance complete or stopped):

  • Output full log content
  • Append status summary from state.json (completed/failed, checkpoints satisfied)

Anti-Rationalization

Shortcut / Temptation Why It Fails
Always show full log regardless of whether instance is running For running instances, full log output may be many thousands of lines — tail 50 is the correct live view
Show logs without checking instance status first Showing "complete" status for a still-running instance misleads the developer into thinking work is done

Exit Criteria

  • Log content from .cocoplus/fleet/[instance-id]/output.log is displayed
  • If instance is running: only last 50 lines shown with a "[still running]" notice
  • If instance is complete: full log shown with status summary from state.json (checkpoints satisfied or not)
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

fleet-logs is a skill published in the GitHub repository Snowflake-Labs/cocoplus (720 stars, last pushed 7d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 50 tokens to every session and 508 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-03.
