Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00089 $0.01036
Opus 5 $0.00044 $0.00518
Sonnet 5 $0.00018 $0.00207
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00104

Security

Grade A, and why

syft-news-pipeline scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Syft News Pipeline

Overview

Use this skill as the entry point for the Syft-only news workflow. Route the request to the right sub-workflow, preserve shared editorial rules, and keep all final outputs publishable rather than debug-like.

Assume the user only has:

  • syft following
  • syft top
  • syft search
  • the current agent's reasoning ability

Do not assume local Python pipelines, dashboard exports, trace URLs, or richer internal data products unless the user explicitly provides them.

Routing

Choose one route first. If the request spans multiple stages, chain the routes in the order listed in references/workflow-map.md.

  1. Build or refresh a user profile. Read references/profile-summary.md.

  2. Capture a durable preference or editorial rule. Read references/guidance-rulebook.md.

  3. Produce a personalized daily briefing. Read references/daily-briefing.md. If profile artifacts do not exist yet, build them first.

  4. Build a storyline tree. Read references/storyline-tree.md. Prefer to start from a cleaned daily news pool or a finished briefing.

  5. Backfill an existing storyline. Read references/storyline-backfill.md. Preserve the existing trunk and branch identity unless the user explicitly asks for a reframe.

Shared Rules

Apply these rules across every route:

  1. Confirm syft is available before doing workflow work. Run syft status.

If the command is not found or the CLI is missing, pause the workflow and tell the user to install the official package first:

npm install -g @orionarm/syft-cli

Then have the user run:

syft login
syft status

Only continue after the CLI is available and authenticated.

  1. Treat syft following as the declared-interest source of truth in Syft-only environments. If you also have a profile summary or a confirmed rulebook, use them as interpretation layers rather than replacements for the following list.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
