iccap-operation

iccap-operation is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from Solitario119/iccap-mcp-server. It costs 0 tokens per session (380 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A collection of operating instructions for working with IC-CAP projects through MCP, a tool interface for controlling software. IC-CAP is engineering software used to measure and model electronic devices.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when reading, building, modifying, executing, or checking an IC-CAP project, including measurements, simulations, imports, exports, and troubleshooting.
Why use it?
It provides a repeatable way to inspect project data, make safe changes, run operations, check results, and save only verified work.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.00380
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00190
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00076
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00038

Security

Grade A, and why

iccap-operation scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

IC-CAP Operation Skills

Use this resource group when an MCP task reads, builds, modifies, executes, or checks an IC-CAP project. These skills describe reusable platform operations; model-family extraction strategy is documented separately.

Skill index

  • Basics: session checks and the standard operating loop.
  • Hierarchy: object ownership, discovery, and path construction.
  • Tool usage: reliable call patterns for the MCP tools.
  • Data handling: measurement, simulation, import, export, and save operations.
  • Safety: project protection and high-impact operations.
  • Engineering completion: checks for a usable project rather than a merely populated hierarchy.
  • Troubleshooting: platform, object, data, and execution failures.

Standard operating loop

  1. Discover the current object hierarchy.
  2. Read the relevant configuration and data.
  3. Check prerequisites for the intended operation.
  4. Make the smallest coherent change.
  5. Execute the affected setup or transform.
  6. Inspect returned values, arrays, and plots.
  7. Save only after the new state is verified.

IC-CAP is stateful. A successful tool response confirms that an API operation returned; it does not establish that the project is complete or physically meaningful. Use numerical, visual, structural, and physical checks together.

Boundaries

  • Discover project-defined names instead of inventing paths.
  • Do not expose proprietary projects, measurement data, or model files.
  • Treat timeouts as an uncertain execution state until IC-CAP is inspected.
  • Use corrective action for changes to an extraction strategy. Reserve recovery for connection, execution, or project-state failures.
Files

What ships with it

7 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

iccap-operation is a skill published in the GitHub repository Solitario119/iccap-mcp-server (4 stars, last pushed 2d ago), licensed MIT. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 380 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
