create-figjam-content

create-figjam-content is a skill for Claude Code from southleft/skills-for-figma. It costs 169 tokens per session (894 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of figjam-create-content, MIT.

A FigJam board-editing skill for creating and reading individual board elements. FigJam is Figma's collaborative whiteboard, with objects such as sticky notes, shapes, connectors, tables, and code blocks.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to build or update FigJam boards element by element, arrange objects, inspect board contents, or read the connections between them.
Why use it?
It gives precise control over each board object, including its content, color, position, and connections. This is useful when a single automatic diagram is too coarse or when extending an existing board.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00169 $0.00894
Opus 5 $0.00084 $0.00447
Sonnet 5 $0.00034 $0.00179
Haiku 4.5 $0.00017 $0.00089

Security

Grade A, and why

create-figjam-content scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 43 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

create-figjam-content — author & read FigJam boards

Build FigJam boards one element at a time and read them back. Covers stickies (single + batch), connectors, shapes-with-text, sections, tables, code blocks, auto-arrange, plus get board contents and get connections. This gives you fine-grained control when the native one-shot generate_diagram is too coarse (e.g. you want specific colors, positions, magnets, or to extend an existing board).

Skill boundaries

  • use_figma rules — load the official figma-use skill first; it is the full Figma Plugin API reference. Essentials these scripts rely on: plain JS with top-level await + return (no IIFE, no figma.closePlugin(); console.log is not returned), inputs inlined as const at the top of each script, colors in 0–1 range, load fonts before any text op, await figma.getNodeByIdAsync(...), and atomic errors (a failed script applies nothing — read the error, fix, retry).
  • One complete snippet per operationreferences/figjam-snippets.md.
  • Whole-diagram generation in one call → use the native generate_diagram tool instead.

Workflow

  1. Confirm it's a FigJam file. Every op throws outside FigJam. Check first: return { editorType: figma.editorType }; — it must be 'figjam'.
  2. Pick the operation from references/figjam-snippets.md: create sticky / stickies / connector / shape-with-text / section / table / code block, auto-arrange, or read board contents / connections.
  3. Run the snippet via use_figma (skillNames: "create-figjam-content"), editing the inlined constants (text, position, color, node IDs).
  4. Connectors need real node IDs. Create the nodes first, capture their returned IDs, then create connectors referencing those IDs (start/end + magnets).
  5. Return created IDs and, after a batch, read the board back (get board contents) to confirm.

Notes

  • Fonts must be loaded before text. Stickies, shapes-with-text, table cells, and connector labels all write text — each snippet await figma.loadFontAsync(...) before setting .characters, with an Inter fallback where the default font may be unavailable.
  • Sticky colors use a named palette (YELLOW, BLUE, GREEN, PINK, ORANGE, PURPLE, RED, LIGHT_GRAY, GRAY); other colors fall back to the default sticky fill.
  • Shape shapeType values: SQUARE, ROUNDED_RECTANGLE, ELLIPSE, DIAMOND, TRIANGLE_UP, TRIANGLE_DOWN, PARALLELOGRAM_RIGHT, PARALLELOGRAM_LEFT, etc.
  • Connector magnets: AUTO, TOP, BOTTOM, LEFT, RIGHT.
  • These tools require the Figma Desktop app (the Plugin API isn't available in the browser).

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
