israeli-utility-rates-comparator

israeli-utility-rates-comparator is a skill for Claude Code from squadcodercom/squadcoder. It costs 141 tokens per session (9,902 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A comparison guide for household utility and telecommunications prices in Israel. It covers electricity, water, cooking gas, mobile plans, fiber internet, and municipal property tax, including tariffs and usage rules.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to compare plans, estimate utility costs, check tariff structures, and assess questions such as solar-panel savings.
Why use it?
It helps compare providers and understand tiered prices, time-based electricity rates, and local charges that make bills difficult to compare.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00141 $0.09902
Opus 5.5 $0.00056 $0.03961
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00028 $0.01980
Haiku 4.5 $0.00014 $0.00990

Security

Grade A, and why

israeli-utility-rates-comparator scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Israeli Utility & Telecom Rates Comparator

Instructions

Step 1: Identify Which Utility to Compare

Determine which utility cost the user wants to analyze. Israeli household utilities and recurring service costs include:

Electricity (חשמל):

  • Israel Electric Corporation (IEC / חברת החשמל) owns transmission, distribution, and meter reading
  • The household supply market is open: by end-2025 roughly 280,000 households had moved to private suppliers and the count keeps climbing
  • Tariffs are set by the Electricity Authority (רשות החשמל)
  • Time-of-use (TOU) pricing available for smart-meter customers (about 1M meters / ~30% of households as of 2026)

Water (מים):

  • Mekorot (מקורות) is the national water company supplying bulk water
  • Municipal water corporations (taagidei mayim) handle local distribution
  • Tiered pricing: ascending block tariff system where price per cubic meter increases with consumption

Cooking Gas (גז בישול / גפ"מ) and Natural Gas (גז טבעי):

  • Most households still use LPG cooking-gas balloons (12kg) or centralized building tanks
  • Natural gas infrastructure expanding via Energean (Karish/Athena) pipelines, mostly in newer buildings
  • LPG tariffs published by the Energy Ministry per locality

Cellular and Internet (סלולר ואינטרנט):

  • Cellular market opened to MVNOs in 2012 (Hot Mobile, Golan Telecom, Rami Levy Mobile, 019, Home Cellular and others); unlimited plans dropped to single-digit-to-low-double-digit shekels
  • Internet has split into infrastructure (Bezeq, HOT, IBC/Unlimited fiber, partner-built fiber) and content/ISP (Bezeq Beinleumi, Cellcom, Partner, 013, 014/Cellact, Triple-C, Hot-Net), most consumers buy as a single bill ("שוק סיטונאי") today

Arnona (ארנונה):

  • Municipal property tax charged by local authorities
  • Rates vary dramatically between municipalities
  • Based on property size (sqm), zone, and usage type (residential/commercial)

Step 2: Electricity Comparison

Understanding IEC tariff structure:

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
