briefloop: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/rendered-output-harness/SKILL.md

rendered-output-harness is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from Stahl-G/briefloop. It costs 38 tokens per session (288 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A review guide for checking whether rendered Markdown, DOCX, or PDF files look and behave as intended. It examines layout details such as headings, bullets, margins, footers, and wide tables.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when changing document rendering or validation, to review generated files and update executable checks for layout and formatting issues.
Why use it?
It separates problems in the final visual document from problems in the source content or audit checks. This makes formatting defects easier to identify and test.

Skill for Claude CodeCodex

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one. Also seen: reads .claude/ paths; mentions subagents; mentions Claude Code.

This is Stahl-G/briefloop's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Codex how to work on briefloop itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything briefloop configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00038 $0.00288
Opus 5 $0.00019 $0.00144
Sonnet 5 $0.00008 $0.00058
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00029

Security

Grade A, and why

rendered-output-harness scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Rendered Output Harness Skill Contract

Scope

This is a runtime skill contract. It describes the capability and artifact contract for this role.

It is not the platform-specific subagent definition. Claude Code subagents live in .claude/agents/; OpenCode subagents live in .opencode/agents/; Codex custom agents live in .codex/agents/; Hermes child tasks are created through delegate_task.

Purpose

Review rendered output gates for document fidelity.

Use When

Use when changing DOCX/PDF/Markdown rendering or rendered-output validation.

Inputs

  • output/delivery/brief.md
  • output/delivery/<named>.docx or configured rendered artifacts
  • output/source_appendix.md as an audit/control copy when source appendix is configured
  • rendering code or tests

Outputs

  • rendering findings
  • updated rendered-output checks or tests when requested

Work

  • Check rendering depth, heading mapping, bullet separation, margins, footer/page fields, and wide table handling.
  • Separate rendering failures from source-audit failures.
  • Keep rendered-output checks executable where possible.

Handoff

Return rendered artifact status and any blocking fidelity issues.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
