autonomous-ai-agency: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/model-catalogue-update/SKILL.md

model-catalogue-update is a skill for Claude Code from strikersam/autonomous-ai-agency. It costs 70 tokens per session (537 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow for adding, changing, or retiring model identifiers in an application's routing catalogue. The catalogue controls which language models are selected and how their costs are recorded.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when changing model lists, provider candidates, presets, or model pricing in the named YAML and Python configuration files.
Why use it?
It prevents invalid, duplicated, untested, or inconsistent model entries from reaching production configuration.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00070 $0.00537
Opus 5.5 $0.00028 $0.00215
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00014 $0.00107
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00054

Measured 18d ago against content hash 81c78f2fb0cd, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

model-catalogue-update scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 18d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Model catalogue update

The catalogue decides what the agency routes to in production. A wrong id costs every call that lands on it, so the rules below are not style.

  1. Check the retired list first. RETIRED in tests/test_nvidia_default_model.py and the removed … / (404) / (410) comments in config/models.yaml name ids that failed live on this account. Do not re-add one. A vendor page saying the model exists is not evidence it answers here: #1695 (Nemotron 3.5 Lightning) and #1697 (Llama 3.3 Nemotron Super 49B) both re-added retired ids from vendor docs and went red.

  2. Never duplicate a key. Search the dict or YAML for the id before adding it; a duplicate silently overwrites the earlier entry (#1689).

  3. Unprobed means explicit-only. A new id gets priority: 99, stays out of PROVIDER_CANDIDATES and every preset, and its cost entry says it is an estimate until a probe (catalogue-probe.yml) has seen HTTP 200 with a real completion.

  4. Mirror both configs. config/models.yaml and brain_config.py must agree; test_yaml_presets_mirror_brain_config checks it.

  5. Prove it. Run, and paste the summary line of:

    pytest -q tests/test_one_model_catalogue.py tests/test_nvidia_default_model.py tests/test_model_router.py

The pre-PR gate (agent/pr_gate.py) runs these suites whenever model config changes, so an agent PR that breaks rule 1 or 2 does not open. This skill is the advisory half; the gate is the deterministic half.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

model-catalogue-update is a skill published in the GitHub repository strikersam/autonomous-ai-agency (11 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 70 tokens to every session and 537 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-09.
