autonomous-ai-agency: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/research/SKILL.md

research is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from strikersam/autonomous-ai-agency. It costs 0 tokens per session (729 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A structured research process for investigating a topic and producing a clear brief. It organizes the question, source types, findings, gaps, and conclusions for technical or non-technical readers.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to research technologies, libraries, vendors, markets, academic literature, competing products, or implementation approaches before making a decision.
Why use it?
It turns scattered information into a focused investigation with defined scope and evidence.

This is strikersam/autonomous-ai-agency's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Codex how to work on autonomous-ai-agency itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.00729
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00365
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00146
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00073

Security

Grade A, and why

research scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Skill: Research

Purpose

Conduct structured, systematic research on any topic — synthesizing sources, extracting key findings, identifying gaps, and producing a clear research brief. Designed for both technical and non-technical research tasks.

When to Use

  • Investigating a new technology, library, or approach before implementation
  • Competitive analysis or market research
  • Literature review before writing documentation or proposals
  • Due diligence on a tool, service, or vendor
  • Pre-planning research before starting a feature

Instructions

Step 1: Define the Research Question

Before searching, clarify:

  • Primary question: What is the core thing you need to know?
  • Scope: How deep? How broad? Time constraints?
  • Output type: Decision brief? Technical summary? Comparison table?
  • Audience: Who will read this? What do they already know?

Step 2: Identify Source Categories

Structure the research across these source types:

  • Official docs / primary sources — authoritative, current
  • Community knowledge — GitHub issues, forums, Stack Overflow
  • Comparisons / reviews — third-party analysis
  • Case studies / examples — real-world usage
  • Critiques / limitations — known problems, caveats

Step 3: Extract & Synthesize

For each source:

  • Record the key claim or finding
  • Note the source credibility and recency
  • Flag contradictions between sources
  • Identify consensus vs. contested points

Step 4: Identify Gaps

Document what you couldn't find or what remains uncertain:

  • Missing data points
  • Questions that need primary research (e.g., direct testing)
  • Assumptions that need validation

Step 5: Produce Research Brief

## Research Brief: [Topic]
**Date:** [Date]
**Researcher:** Claude
**Question:** [Primary research question]

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

research is a skill published in the GitHub repository strikersam/autonomous-ai-agency (8 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 729 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
