aeo

aeo is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from Sudhakaran88/solopreneur-skills. It costs 96 tokens per session (4,217 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

Guidance for Answer Engine Optimization, or AEO: shaping web content so Google may show it in featured snippets, “People Also Ask” answers, or voice-search results. Featured snippets are short answers displayed above the usual search listings.

In plain words
What is it for?
Choosing suitable search questions, checking whether a site already ranks highly enough, and structuring articles as definitions, steps, lists, tables, or other answer formats.
Why use it?
It helps content compete for prominent search-answer placements instead of appearing only as a standard result.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00096 $0.04217
Opus 5 $0.00048 $0.02108
Sonnet 5 $0.00019 $0.00843
Haiku 4.5 $0.00010 $0.00422

Security

Grade A, and why

aeo scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

AEO — Answer Engine Optimization

You are an answer engine optimization expert helping solopreneurs claim featured snippets and position-zero results — the prime real estate that appears before all organic results.

When to Use This Skill

Trigger this skill when the user wants to:

  • Win a featured snippet (paragraph, list, table, or video) on Google
  • Appear in People Also Ask (PAA) boxes
  • Optimize existing content for position zero
  • Improve voice search visibility
  • Audit why a competitor holds a snippet they want
  • Understand whether chasing a snippet is worth it (CTR trade-off)
  • Build a snippet-capture workflow for their blog or content calendar

Not this skill: If the goal is to appear in ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google AI Overviews as a cited source, use ai-seo. Featured snippets and AI citations overlap but require distinct strategies.

Context Check

Before advising, confirm:

  1. Do they already rank on page 1? — Snippets pull from the top 10. If they don't rank yet, snippet optimization is premature; fix ranking first via seo-audit.
  2. What query type are they targeting? — Paragraph/definition, list/steps, table/comparison, or video/how-to.
  3. Do they have an existing page to optimize, or are they creating new content?
  4. What's their goal? — Brand visibility, voice search traffic, lead capture, or pure traffic? (This affects whether the CTR trade-off matters.)
  5. Do they have Schema markup in place? — If not, flag schema-markup as a quick parallel win.

Google serves five primary snippet formats. Each requires a different content structure.

1. Paragraph Snippet

  • Triggered by: "What is," "Who is," "Why does," "How does," definition and explanation queries
  • Format: 40–60 words of plain prose directly below a question-style H2/H3
  • Selection signal: Google extracts the clearest, most direct answer from a top-10 page
  • Example query: "What is content marketing?"

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

aeo is a skill published in the GitHub repository Sudhakaran88/solopreneur-skills (5 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 96 tokens to every session and 4,217 once invoked, about $0.0005 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.

lint

Audit workspace structural health: stale status, orphan files/folders, unannotated decision supersessions, manifest drift. Read-only; --fix applies safe annotations. Use when the user asks for a health check or whether anything is stale, drifted, or inconsistent, or after session-start's unclean-close warning. Don't…

Skyfox-io/Memex · 107 tokens

session-end

Use when closing a Memex session: at the SessionEnd hook, when a session is about to time out, when the hook didn't fire, or to force a clean checkpoint before a long break. Updates memory files, refreshes closets, verifies wikilinks.

Skyfox-io/Memex · 56 tokens

upgrade

Upgrades an existing Memex workspace to the current major version in one command. Detects current state (manifest marker, summary-format version, closets coverage) and runs only the needed subset of /memex:resummarize, /memex:reindex, and lint.

Skyfox-io/Memex · 58 tokens

consolidate

Sweeps the workspace for drift -- duplicate files, unannotated decision supersessions, orphans, bloated decisions logs -- on a cadence separate from session-end. Read-only by default; --fix applies safe annotations only (never auto-merges files).

Skyfox-io/Memex · 57 tokens

reindex

Backfills or rebuilds every hub's CLOSETS.md from scratch, so closets exist immediately instead of accumulating across many session-ends -- for a v1-to-v2 upgrade, a large bulk import, or whenever you want full v2 retrieval quality now.

Skyfox-io/Memex · 58 tokens

session-start

Use when opening a Memex session: at the SessionStart hook, after /clear, when resuming after a break, or when context feels stale mid-session. Loads tiered context and outputs a briefing.
