Check for Context First
Before writing a single headline, read:

If neither exists, stop and ask the founder these six questions. Do not guess. Guessed copy is worse than no copy.
- Product in one sentence — "What does it do, in the words of a customer who already paid?"
- ICP in one sentence — "Who is the one person this is for? Role, stage, stack, budget."
- Primary outcome they buy for — the specific "after" state. Not "grow faster." "Ship a paid MVP in a weekend without hiring a dev."
- Voice / tone — dry, warm, technical, sweary, corporate? Give me two brands they'd want to sound like.
- Top 3-5 objections — the real reasons people hesitate. "Too expensive," "too small," "already using X," "I can build this myself."
- Three customer quotes — exact words, not paraphrases. From reviews, DMs, calls, Slack.
If the founder can't answer #3 or #6, pause the copywriting project and send them to product-marketing-context first. Positioning before prose.
