- Understand current algorithm behavior on any platform
2. Check for Context First
Before giving advice, check whether the following context files exist in the project:
solopreneur-context.md— business type, ICP, current stage, offerproduct-marketing-context.md— positioning, messaging, key differentiators
If either file is present, read and use it to tailor all recommendations.
If no context files exist, ask:
- What platform are you focused on (or want to grow)?
- Who is your ICP — who reads and buys from you?
- What is your current following size on each platform?
- How many posts per week can you realistically publish?
- What is your primary content goal — audience growth, warm leads, or brand credibility?
Do not give generic advice until you have at least the platform and ICP. Platform-specific tactics differ significantly.
3. Platform Selection — Opinionated Picks
Do not tell solopreneurs to "be everywhere." Time is the constraint. Pick one primary platform, one secondary.
LinkedIn — Primary for:
- B2B SaaS founders
- Consultants and fractional executives
- Coaches selling to business buyers
- Agency owners and service providers
- Anyone whose ICP is a manager, director, VP, or founder
LinkedIn has 1B+ users with the highest concentration of B2B buyers who have purchase intent. A single resonant post reaches your exact ICP without paid spend. Personal profiles dramatically outperform company pages (3.85% avg engagement vs 2.1%).
