Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5 | $0.00015 | $0.01423 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00008 | $0.00711 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00003 | $0.00285 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00002 | $0.00142 |
Grade A, and why
ab-testing scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 180 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
A/B Testing
When to Propose an A/B Test
A/B testing is for controlled experiments where you have two plausible approaches and want empirical evidence for which performs better. Use it when:
- Optimizing prompts -- "Does system prompt A produce better results than system prompt B?"
- Comparing approaches -- "Is caching strategy X faster than strategy Y?"
- Parameter tuning -- "Does temperature=0.3 produce more consistent output than temperature=0.7?"
- Validating improvements -- "Does the refactored code actually perform better than the original?"
Do NOT use for: safety-critical parameters, authentication settings, cost/rate limits, or anything that could compromise system integrity. These are enforced as forbidden parameters (see Safety Constraints below).
The Full Lifecycle
An A/B test moves through these states:
PROPOSED -> GRACE_PERIOD -> ACTIVE -> MONITORING -> CONCLUDED
| |
v v
VETOED REVERTED
(auto: cost/time exceeded)
Step 1: Propose
3s ab-propose "temperature" "0.3" "0.7" "Lower temperature produces more consistent classification output"
Or via MCP:
ab_propose(
param="temperature",
variant_a="0.3",
variant_b="0.7",
hypothesis="Lower temperature produces more consistent classification output"
)
This creates the test in PROPOSED status and returns a test ID (UUID). The test is not yet running.
Step 2: Grace Period (Human Veto Window)
ab_start(test_id="<uuid>")
Moves the test to GRACE_PERIOD. This is a deliberate pause (default 30 minutes) that allows a human to review the proposal and veto it before any resources are spent. The grace period duration is informational -- enforcement is the caller's responsibility.
Why a grace period? Autonomous A/B testing without human oversight can waste budget on ill-conceived experiments. The grace period is a safety valve.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

ab-testing is a skill published in the GitHub repository supportersimulator/3-surgeons (2 stars, last pushed 3mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 15 tokens to every session and 1,423 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
