ape-context: Skill for Claude Code

.github/skills/context-structure/SKILL.md

context-structure is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from suuus/ape-context. It costs 81 tokens per session (454 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow for turning confirmed software-structure decisions into validated draft records and, when approved, an execution manifest. It keeps uncertain ownership, boundaries, entry points, and evidence needs visible.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to review structure candidates, draft and validate architecture records, bind them to decisions, and prepare approved work for execution.
Why use it?
It prevents an agent from inventing architecture or activating unapproved designs, while preserving references, validation results, and gaps.

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one.

This is suuus/ape-context's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Codex how to work on ape-context itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything ape-context configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00081 $0.00454
Opus 5.5 $0.00032 $0.00182
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00016 $0.00091
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00045

Security

Grade A, and why

context-structure scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Load structure_candidates, decision_drafts, imported_decisions, and distilled_intent. Missing or uncertain ownership, boundaries, gates, entry points, or Evidence obligations remain explicit gaps.

For each coherent scope, present the proposed actors, components, responsibilities, interfaces, dependencies, boundaries, gates, entry points, artifacts, and Evidence requirements. Ask Draft, Revise, or Skip.

On Draft, author canonical ape-structure-record/v1 JSON under .github/structures/drafts/<structure-id>.json. Resolve asrp, run asrp --version, asrp validate, and asrp fingerprint. Where the exact ADRP record is known, run asrp bind-intent and validate the bound output. Persist structure_drafts with paths, IDs, versions, fingerprints, Intent bindings, gaps, and status.

Do not mark a Structure draft effective. During ratification, explicit human confirmation may produce an effective immutable record under .github/structures/<structure-id>/vNNN.json. After effective records exist, asrp compile may create .github/isee/execution-manifest.json for a user-confirmed scope and entry point. Persist execution_manifest with its path, schema version, Intent fingerprints, Structure fingerprints, gates, and Evidence requirements. Execution remains external.

ASRP owns the schema, fingerprints, and manifest contract. Ape Context only discovers candidates and orchestrates the handoff. Missing/failing CLI or validation blocks. Dry-run writes nothing and claims no active Structure.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

context-structure is a skill published in the GitHub repository suuus/ape-context (2 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 81 tokens to every session and 454 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-03.
