ty-sysblock-signal-modeling

ty-sysblock-signal-modeling is a skill for Codex from Suzhou-Tongyuan/sysplorer-mcp-server. It costs 122 tokens per session (730 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A skill for modeling signal-processing and communications systems in Sysplorer Sysblock diagrams. It covers operations such as filtering and spectrum checks, plus links using methods such as QPSK, QAM, synchronization, and BER measurement.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for filters, multi-rate processing, feature extraction, baseband communications, error-rate checks, synchronization, and spread-spectrum links.
Why use it?
It keeps signal and communications work on the Sysblock path and prevents it from being confused with Modelica physical modeling or unrelated API queries.

Skill for Codex

Written for Codex: agents/openai.yaml present.

Good fit Use it for filters, multi-rate processing, feature extraction, baseband communications, error-rate checks, synchronization, and spread-spectrum links.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00122 $0.00730
Opus 5.5 $0.00049 $0.00292
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00024 $0.00146
Haiku 4.5 $0.00012 $0.00073

Security

Grade A, and why

ty-sysblock-signal-modeling scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 19d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Sysblock Signal And Communication Modeling

Use this only after ty-sysplorer-modeling-rules routes the task to the Sysblock path. The parent skill owns session health, routing, seven gates, layout timing, repair loop, and delivery evidence.

Scope

  • Signal processing: filters, spectrum checks, multirate processing, feature extraction.
  • Communication links: baseband chains, BER, QPSK/QAM, synchronization, DSSS.
  • Libraries such as TYDSPSystem, TYCommunication, TYMixedSignal, and SysplorerEmbeddedCoder.

Do not use for Modelica physical models, pure API lookup, or isolated block parameter/port checks that do not need signal-domain workflow guidance.

Non-Negotiable Sysblock Rules

  • Invoke parent routing before modeling; do not override it.
  • Use official Sysplorer APIs through call_code(mode="run_sysplorer_api").
  • Never call SetModelText, handwrite .mo, or patch source text for Sysblock topology.
  • Do not mix Modelica physical libraries into a Sysblock signal path.
  • Load SysplorerEmbeddedCoder first; query concrete source blocks only after the source category is known.

Minimal Reading

All references/... paths in this skill are relative to this skill directory (the folder that contains this SKILL.md), not the workspace root or any parent skills/ directory.

Domain Additions

  • Classify the task before designing: filtering, spectrum, multirate, feature extraction, communication link, BER, synchronization, or mixed-signal task.
  • Build the smallest runnable signal chain before expanding scenarios.
  • Define observability early: required output variables, spectra, BER, synchronization state, or timing metrics.
  • Treat run_sysplorer_api success as only script success; parent check_model still determines model validity.
  • If the minimum loop runs but user metrics are not met, return to the parent optimization loop.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

ty-sysblock-signal-modeling is a skill published in the GitHub repository Suzhou-Tongyuan/sysplorer-mcp-server (10 stars, last pushed 20d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 122 tokens to every session and 730 once invoked, about $0.0005 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-13.
