adding-deep-link

adding-deep-link is a skill for Claude Code from SwiftfulThinking/SwiftfulStarterProject. It costs 57 tokens per session (1,312 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A procedure for adding handling for deep links and push-notification taps in a Swift application's central presenter. A deep link is a URL that opens a specific part of an app.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to handle URLs, universal links, notification actions, and push-notification taps in a mobile app.
Why use it?
It helps route users to the right screen while accounting for the app's navigation limits and current user state.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00057 $0.01312
Opus 5 $0.00028 $0.00656
Sonnet 5 $0.00011 $0.00262
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00131

Security

Grade A, and why

adding-deep-link scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

Add routing logic to ModuleWrapperPresenter.swift for deep links (.onOpenURL) or push notifications (.onNotificationReceived).

Where to Edit

Core/ModuleWrapper/ModuleWrapperPresenter.swift — both handlers live here:

  • handleDeepLink(url:delegate:) — receives the URL
  • handlePushNotificationReceived(notification:delegate:) — receives the notification

ModuleWrapperView does NOT have a NavigationStack. This limits available navigation:

Supported:

  • router.showScreen(.fullScreenCover) { ... }
  • router.showScreen(.sheet) { ... }
  • router.showModal { ... }
  • router.showAlert { ... }
  • Update interactor state
  • Post a NotificationCenter notification

NOT supported:

  • router.showScreen(.push) — will silently fail

If you need .push navigation: Post a custom Notification.Name from the presenter and listen for it with .onNotificationReceived(name:) in a child view that has a NavigationStack (e.g., HomeView).

State-Aware Routing

Deep links and push notifications are sensitive to user state. Always check state before routing:

// Available on interactor (add to ModuleWrapperInteractor protocol as needed):
interactor.auth // UserAuthInfo? — nil if not authenticated
interactor.currentUser // UserModel? — nil if not loaded
interactor.isPremium      // Bool — entitlement status

// Available on delegate:
delegate.moduleId         // String — which module is active (Constants.tabbarModuleId or Constants.onboardingModuleId)

Common Guards

// Only handle in tabbar module (skip if user is onboarding)
guard delegate.moduleId == Constants.tabbarModuleId else { return }

// Require authentication
guard interactor.auth != nil else { return }

// Require premium
guard interactor.isPremium else { return }

Adding Interactor Properties

If ModuleWrapperInteractor doesn't expose what you need, add it to the protocol:

// In ModuleWrapperInteractor.swift:
@MainActor
protocol ModuleWrapperInteractor: GlobalInteractor {
    var auth: UserAuthInfo? { get }
}

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

adding-deep-link is a skill published in the GitHub repository SwiftfulThinking/SwiftfulStarterProject (74 stars, last pushed 5mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 57 tokens to every session and 1,312 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-04.
