cloakbrowser-mcp: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/idea-refine/SKILL.md

idea-refine is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from swimmwatch/cloakbrowser-mcp. It costs 81 tokens per session (361 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A structured way to improve an early cloakbrowser-mcp idea by exploring different directions and testing their assumptions. It compares alternatives against practical constraints and possible outcomes.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when ideating, comparing approaches, exploring alternatives, or stress-testing an early product, architecture, tooling, documentation, security, packaging, or workflow idea.
Why use it?
It prevents an untested proposal from becoming an accidental decision. It makes trade-offs, unresolved choices, and the smallest useful experiment clear.

This is swimmwatch/cloakbrowser-mcp's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Codex how to work on cloakbrowser-mcp itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything cloakbrowser-mcp configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00081 $0.00361
Opus 5 $0.00041 $0.00180
Sonnet 5 $0.00016 $0.00072
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00036

Security

Grade A, and why

idea-refine scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Idea Refine

  1. Read AGENTS.md and define the user or operator, problem evidence, desired outcome, non-goals, constraints, compatibility needs, and success signal.
  2. Inspect only relevant code, tests, docs, package metadata, and settled decisions. Use CodeGraph before broad source search when indexed. Identify assumptions that still need validation.
  3. Offer two to four materially different directions. Include a smallest experiment and a credible defer, remove, or upstream-first option when applicable.
  4. Compare only material criteria: user value, unchanged Playwright MCP compatibility, CLI/transport behavior, process and session safety, cross-platform support, security, maintenance, testing, packaging, documentation/localization, delivery, and reversibility.
  5. Give an evidence-backed recommendation when one exists, but do not treat it as the user's decision.
  6. Ask every material selection through the global Prompt MCP using stable IDs and a persistent workspace interview when recovery matters. Preserve unresolved options instead of inferring a choice.
  7. Finish with the selected or still-open direction, smallest validation step, rejected alternatives, and decisions that must enter /spec.

Do not claim feasibility without evidence or continue into specification, planning, implementation, commit, PR, or release work.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
