ai-agents-workspace-starter: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/project-bootstrap/SKILL.md

project-bootstrap is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from systemowiec/ai-agents-workspace-starter. It costs 24 tokens per session (625 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A setup workflow for starting a new software project from a starter kit. It gathers the project details, fills context files, adapts agent roles, and creates the first specification.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when creating a project with a defined technology stack, business modules, architecture, and cloud setup.
Why use it?
It turns basic project information into the documents and settings an agent needs before development begins. It is intended for new projects, not changes to an already initialized one.

Skill for Claude CodeCodex

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one. Also seen: mentions CLAUDE.md; installed under .agents/ (shared by several agents).

This is systemowiec/ai-agents-workspace-starter's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Codex how to work on ai-agents-workspace-starter itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything ai-agents-workspace-starter configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00024 $0.00625
Opus 5.5 $0.00010 $0.00250
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00005 $0.00125
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00063

Measured 2mo ago against content hash 2c92402c0c11, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

project-bootstrap scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Project Bootstrap - Project Initialization

Overview

One-time skill executed at the start of a project (after make setup). Fills in the project context, adapts agent roles, creates the first spec.

When to Use

  • New project based on this starter kit
  • When the user runs /project-init
  • When .agents/context/project-overview.md contains [TODO]

When NOT to use:

  • Project already initialized (no [TODO] in context)
  • Modifying an existing project

Process

1. Gather information from the user

Ask about:

  • Project name (use in CLAUDE.md, .env)
  • Project description (2-3 sentences)
  • Technology stack (backend, frontend, database)
  • Business modules (what the system will do)
  • Architecture (monolith / microservices / API-only)
  • Cloud provider (AWS / GCP / other / none)

2. Fill in context files

Based on the answers:

File What to fill in
.agents/context/project-overview.md Create from docs/templates/_project-overview.md, fill stack, modules, diagram
CLAUDE.md Replace [PROJECT_NAME] with the name
.env Create based on project needs

3. Adapt agent roles

Based on the stack:

If... Then...
No frontend (API-only) Remove frontend-engineer.md from .agents/roles/
Django instead of FastAPI Adapt backend-engineer.md
No UI framework Adapt frontend-engineer.md
GitHub Actions instead of GitLab CI Adapt platform-engineer.md

4. Create architecture documentation

  • Fill in docs/specs/ (architecture)
  • Add architecture diagram (mermaid)
  • Justify technology choices

5. Create the first spec

  • ARCH-001: Project Setup
  • Scope: infrastructure (Docker, DB), backend structure, optionally frontend
  • Use template: docs/templates/_spec.md

6. Call the Platform Engineer

Propose:

  • Creating infra/docker-compose.yml
  • Creating Dockerfiles
  • Configuring Makefile (if needed)

7. Verify

Check:

  • No [TODO] in project-overview.md
  • CLAUDE.md has the project name
  • Roles are adapted to the stack
  • ARCH-001 exists
  • make setup can be run

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

project-bootstrap is a skill published in the GitHub repository systemowiec/ai-agents-workspace-starter (2 stars, last pushed 7mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 24 tokens to every session and 625 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
