pk-preflight

pk-preflight is a skill for Claude Code from szw321127/repowise. It costs 26 tokens per session (417 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A project-knowledge lookup run before implementation begins. It matches a task description with stored practices, options, and local evidence hints.

In plain words
What is it for?
It prepares a concise task context, reports matching practices and why they matched, and points to evidence paths worth inspecting.
Why use it?
It helps developers find relevant project guidance before changing code, while reporting when no project knowledge is available.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00026 $0.00417
Opus 5 $0.00013 $0.00209
Sonnet 5 $0.00005 $0.00083
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00042

Security

Grade A, and why

pk-preflight scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

PK Preflight

Treat this skill as the project-knowledge entrypoint before implementation work starts.

Required Behavior

  • Accept a project root or .project-knowledge/ directory plus a task description.
  • Resolve ../../scripts/pk-preflight.mjs relative to this SKILL.md file.
  • The wrapper delegates to preflight-session.mjs.
  • Report the result in Chinese, including whether existing knowledge was hit, which practices/options were recommended, why they matched via matchReasons, what task intent was inferred, or which local evidence paths should be inspected.
  • If .project-knowledge/project-profile.md is missing, report mode: no-knowledge and do not scan local code or evidence; suggest pk-init only if the user wants this project to opt in.
  • Treat the output as a context-budgeted summary: by default only the top matching practices are returned, source_evidence is a preview, and source_evidence_count / source_evidence_truncated indicate whether more evidence exists.
  • source_evidence previews and evidenceHints exclude missing evidence paths; if expected evidence is absent, ask the user to run pk-lint to inspect node-missing-evidence-path findings.
  • If evidenceHintsTruncated is true, inspect the referenced Markdown node or source files only when the current task needs deeper verification.
  • Matching uses node keywords plus deterministic task intent (taskKinds, technologies, pathHints, operationHints). Mention applies_when / does_not_apply_when hits or exclusions when relevant.
  • Keep preflight read-only by default. Only record preflight_hits and last_hit_at in state/usage-index.json when the caller explicitly opts in with --record-hits or recordHits: true.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

pk-preflight is a skill published in the GitHub repository szw321127/repowise (21 stars, last pushed 3mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 26 tokens to every session and 417 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
