accounts

accounts is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from taboola/realize-claude-plugin. It costs 29 tokens per session (743 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

An account finder for Realize, Taboola’s advertising platform. It finds the account identifier required before other Realize campaign or report requests can run.

In plain words
What is it for?
Find an account by name or ID, list accessible accounts, resolve an unclear account, or switch the active account before querying campaigns and reports.
Why use it?
It prevents requests from being sent without an account or to the wrong account when several accounts match.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00029 $0.00743
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.00371
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00149
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00074

Measured 4d ago against content hash 57e481a11795, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

accounts scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 56 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Accounts

Every other Realize MCP tool requires an account_id. This skill resolves one.

When to use

  • The user mentions a new account name, numeric ID, or advertiser.
  • No account_id is cached for the current session.
  • The user's question is ambiguous about which account they mean.
  • The user wants to switch accounts.

Workflow

  1. Call search_accounts with the user's input. The query string is routed server-side based on shape: a pure-digits string is treated as a numeric id lookup, free text is treated as search_text, and "*" lists all accounts the authenticated user has access to. Empty or whitespace-only queries raise ToolInputError.
    mcp__realize-mcp__search_accounts(query="<user input>", page_size=10, page=1)

  2. Inspect the response. The returned account_id is an opaque string supplied by the server (examples from upstream docs: advertiser_12345_prod, mktg_corp_001), not the numeric ID the user might have typed. Do not fabricate, re-case, or otherwise transform it — pass it through verbatim.
  3. Disambiguate if multiple results. Use AskUserQuestion to let the user pick. Show account name + account_id string in each option.
  4. Paginate if needed. If the user's match isn't in the first page, call again with page=2, keeping page_size constant. Hard cap: page_size=10.
  5. Persist the choice (optional). If the user wants this as their default, write it to .claude/realize.local.md (gitignored):
    ---
    default_account_id: advertiser_12345_prod
    default_account_name: Example Advertiser
    ---

Example

User: "Pull my Q1 numbers for Example Advertiser."

You:

  1. search_accounts(query="Example Advertiser") → one result, account_id=advertiser_12345_prod.
  2. Cache it, hand off to reports skill for the actual data pull.

User: "Show me the acme account."

You:

  1. search_accounts(query="acme") → three matches.
  2. AskUserQuestion: "Which Acme account?" with each account_id as an option.
  3. Proceed with the user's pick.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
