political-party-membership

political-party-membership is a skill for Claude Code from taivop/marketplace. It costs 30 tokens per session (554 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A retrieval guide for Estonia’s registered political parties and their current public member lists from the e-Business Register. It can also retrieve membership start dates and direct CSV exports, which are spreadsheet-like data files.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to list registered parties, retrieve a party’s members, and obtain membership data by registry code.
Why use it?
It avoids confusing party membership records with campaign-finance records and provides a repeatable way to download current lists. Historical membership statistics come from a separate source.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00030 $0.00554
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.00277
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00111
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00055

Security

Grade A, and why

political-party-membership scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Political Party Membership

Use when

  • You need the official list of registered political parties.
  • You need a party's public current-member list or membership start dates.

Avoid when

  • You need campaign finance; use party-funding-data.

Endpoints

Workflow

  1. Parse the chooser's party table and take the eight-digit registry code from each /members/{registry_code} link.
  2. Fetch the CSV directly for each requested party. Decode it as UTF-8 with BOM and parse it with semicolon delimiters.
  3. Preserve the party name and registry code from the chooser with every exported row.
  4. Use the Power BI page only for historical aggregates not present in the current lists.

Access reality

  • Public HTML and CSV, verified 2026-07-14.
  • The chooser exposes party/member links without JavaScript. The tested CSV response is text/csv and starts with the five-column member header.

Request contract

  • No authentication or session cookie is required for the chooser or CSV export.
  • The CSV columns are First name, Last name, Date of birth, Date of starting membership, and Suspension of membership in political party.
  • HTML member pages paginate with ?page=N, but the CSV export returns the full list; prefer CSV for data work.

Output schema expectations

  • Keep the registry code, party name, source URL, retrieval time, and original CSV fields.
  • For aggregate answers, report the retrieval date because the export is a current snapshot.

Limits and caveats

  • These are personal data published under the Political Parties Act. Retrieve and expose only fields necessary for the request; avoid republishing bulk member data when an aggregate suffices.
  • The current CSV is not a historical trend series. Do not infer join/leave history beyond the exported dates.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
