microsoft

microsoft is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from tallclub/matimo. It costs 32 tokens per session (1,867 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of tools for Microsoft Graph, Microsoft's interface for working with organizational email, files, calendars, Teams, and SharePoint.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to search and read OneDrive or SharePoint content, list files, manage Outlook email and calendar events, post in Teams, upload documents, and publish SharePoint pages.
Why use it?
It brings company information and routine Microsoft 365 actions into the coding agent instead of requiring separate searches and manual updates.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00032 $0.01867
Opus 5 $0.00016 $0.00933
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00373
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00187

Security

Grade A, and why

microsoft scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Microsoft Graph

Complete guide to using Matimo's Microsoft Graph tools for searching organizational knowledge, reading and writing OneDrive/SharePoint files, managing Outlook mail and calendar events, posting to Microsoft Teams, and publishing SharePoint pages.

All Available Tools

Tool Purpose Risk
ms_search_knowledge Search SharePoint sites, OneDrive/SharePoint files, and list items low
ms_read_file Read a file's contents from OneDrive/SharePoint low
ms_list_files List the children of a OneDrive/SharePoint folder low
ms_get_email List messages in the signed-in user's mailbox low
ms_send_email Send an email as the signed-in user high — requires approval
ms_send_teams_message Post or reply to a message in a Teams channel medium
ms_create_document Upload a small file (≤4 MB) to OneDrive/SharePoint medium
ms_create_calendar_event Create a calendar event, optionally a Teams meeting medium
ms_publish_to_sharepoint Create and publish a SharePoint site page high — requires approval

Authentication

Microsoft Graph tools use delegated OAuth2 access tokens via the microsoft provider (see the package's definition.yaml). Matimo never performs the OAuth code exchange itself — a valid Graph access token must already be available, supplied either as:

  • credentials.MICROSOFT_GRAPH_ACCESS_TOKEN on the execution context, or
  • the MICROSOFT_GRAPH_ACCESS_TOKEN environment variable

Common delegated scopes: Sites.Read.All, Files.Read.All, Files.ReadWrite, Mail.Read, Mail.Send, ChannelMessage.Send, Calendars.ReadWrite, Sites.Manage.All. Each tool's YAML lists the narrower scopes it actually needs.

Searching Organizational Knowledge

Use ms_search_knowledge with:

  • query (required) — KQL-style search string, e.g. "Q3 budget filetype:xlsx"
  • entity_types — which content types to search (driveItem, listItem, site, list, drive); defaults to [driveItem, listItem, site]
  • top — max results, 1-25 (default 10)
  • site_id / drive_idbest-effort scoping hints, folded into the query string. Microsoft Search has no dedicated server-side filter for sites/drives on these entity types, so don't expect a hard filter — narrow the query text itself for reliable scoping.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

microsoft is a skill published in the GitHub repository tallclub/matimo (11 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 32 tokens to every session and 1,867 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
