It reduces listing mistakes by checking the expected file layout and controlling upload order.

Skill for Claude CodeCodex

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one.

Needs its repository: it runs a file that does not travel with it, so clone the repository first. The line is --file ./metadata/en-US/images/phoneScreenshots/1_home.png.

Good fit Use it to validate and upload phone or tablet screenshots, feature graphics, and other localized Play listing images.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00055 $0.01278
Opus 5 $0.00028 $0.00639
Sonnet 5 $0.00011 $0.00256
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00128

Security

Grade A, and why

gplay-screenshot-automation scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Google Play Screenshot Management

Use this skill to organize, validate, and upload Android screenshots and store graphics to a Google Play listing with gplay. This skill covers the gplay-specific upload/validate flow — not screenshot capture.

Capturing the raw images is standard Android tooling and not gplay-specific: take them with adb shell screencap (then adb pull), or drive state-based captures with an Espresso / UI Automator instrumentation test, switching emulator locale via setprop persist.sys.locale when you need per-language shots. Produce PNGs organized by locale and device type, then use the commands below.

Directory layout

gplay expects a Fastlane-style tree. sync import-images and release --screenshots-dir both read this shape:

metadata/
  en-US/
    images/
      phoneScreenshots/
        1_home.png
        2_search.png
      tenInchScreenshots/
        1_home.png
      featureGraphic.png
  de-DE/
    images/
      phoneScreenshots/
        1_home.png

Screenshots upload in filename order, so prefix with 1_, 2_, etc. to control ordering on the store.

Image types

Type Usage
phoneScreenshots Phone screenshots (required, 2-8)
sevenInchScreenshots 7-inch tablet screenshots
tenInchScreenshots 10-inch tablet screenshots
tvScreenshots Android TV screenshots
wearScreenshots Wear OS screenshots
featureGraphic Feature graphic (1024x500)
promoGraphic Promo graphic (180x120)
icon App icon (512x512)
tvBanner TV banner (1280x720)

Google Play requires PNG or JPEG (PNG recommended), max 8 MB per image.

1) Validate before uploading

Always validate the directory first — this catches count/dimension/format issues before you spend an upload:

# Validate all locales
gplay validate screenshots --dir ./metadata --output table

# Validate a single locale
gplay validate screenshots --dir ./metadata --locale en-US --output table

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
