motion-anti-slop

motion-anti-slop is a skill for Claude Code from taotao135791-bit/gsap-transform. It costs 158 tokens per session (7,206 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A rule-based review checklist for finding generic or AI-like patterns in GSAP animation code.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to audit animation code, detect repeated default timings or easing choices, and apply targeted fixes.
Why use it?
It makes motion problems easier to spot before an animated interface is shipped.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

Opus 5 $0.00079 $0.03603
Sonnet 5 $0.00032 $0.01441
Haiku 4.5 $0.00016 $0.00721

Security

Grade A, and why

motion-anti-slop scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Not a fault in itself. Listed so you know the mod talks to something, and to what.

- **Why it bites:** these single-file paths can fail intermittently in browsers (e.g. `ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED` on `SplitText.js`) while `curl` succeeds. One failed plugin kills the whole ESM module graph and silently disa

Motion Anti-Slop Checks

A deterministic checklist of motion-specific AI tells. Run before declaring any animated frontend done. Each rule has a detection signature, a wrong example, and a fix.

When to Use This Skill

Apply during a final pass on any GSAP-animated interface, or whenever the user says "this feels AI-built", "audit the motion", "remove the slop". Designed to be runnable mechanically — every rule has an explicit detection cue.

Related skills: motion-design-taste for the rationale; motion-craft for the /audit and /critique commands; gsap-core, gsap-scrolltrigger, gsap-performance for API context.

How to Read Each Rule

  • Tell — short name.
  • Detect — what to look for.
  • Wrong — minimal failing snippet.
  • Fix — minimal corrected snippet.
  • Severityblock (must fix before shipping) or warn (fix unless brief justifies).

Severity block rules are Pre-Flight Failures (see motion-design-taste Section 8).

Group A — Duration Tells

A1. Universal 0.3 s / 0.5 s default

  • Detect: more than 70% of tweens share a single duration value.
  • Wrong: every gsap.to/from in the file uses duration: 0.5.
  • Fix: durations vary by role and follow the motion mode band: Restrained 0.2-0.5, Expressive 0.4-0.9, Cinematic 0.6-1.4. Hero text gets longer durations; supporting reveals get shorter.
  • Severity: warn.

A2. 2-second entrance on body content

  • Detect: duration > 1.4 on tweens not inside a pinned ScrollTrigger or hero timeline.
  • Wrong: gsap.from(".feature-row", { y: 60, duration: 2 });
  • Fix: keep body in 0.4-0.9 s; reserve >1.4 s for hero and pinned scenes only.
  • Severity: warn.

A3. Restated duration in nested timeline

  • Detect: every child tween in a timeline repeats the same duration that is already in defaults.
  • Fix: rely on gsap.timeline({ defaults: { duration } }). See gsap-timeline.
  • Severity: warn.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

motion-anti-slop is a skill published in the GitHub repository taotao135791-bit/gsap-transform (2 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 158 tokens to every session and 7,206 once invoked, about $0.0008 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
