motion-recipes

motion-recipes is a skill for Claude Code from taotao135791-bit/gsap-transform. It costs 136 tokens per session (5,107 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A collection of starting patterns that combine visual styles with matching GSAP motion, such as editorial, brutalist, cinematic, or kinetic typography.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when building an interface with a named visual style and you need a matching structure, typography, color, layout, and motion pattern.
Why use it?
It helps turn a broad visual direction into a concrete animation and layout approach.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00136 $0.05107
Opus 5 $0.00068 $0.02554
Sonnet 5 $0.00027 $0.01021
Haiku 4.5 $0.00014 $0.00511

Security

Grade A, and why

motion-recipes scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Motion Recipes

Eight ready-to-clone pairings of an aesthetic direction with a motion language. Pick one after the Design Read in motion-design-taste, adapt the skeleton to the brief, then run motion-anti-slop before shipping.

When to Use This Skill

Apply after the Design Read in motion-design-taste when the brief lands close to one of the eight recipes below, or when the user names a recipe by keyword ("brutalist", "editorial kinetic", "liquid glass", "bento"). Each recipe is a closed system — pick one, do not mix two recipes in the same project.

Related skills: motion-design-taste for dials and rules; motion-anti-slop for the deterministic check; gsap-core, gsap-timeline, gsap-scrolltrigger, gsap-plugins, gsap-performance for API depth.

How Each Recipe Is Organised

  • Best for — brief signals that should pull this recipe.
  • Dials — the three dials from motion-design-taste (MOTION_INTENSITY / DESIGN_VARIANCE / VISUAL_DENSITY).
  • Type & color — typography pool and palette starting point.
  • Layout — distinguishing structural moves.
  • Motion language — duration band, ease family, stagger range, scroll behavior.
  • Skeleton — a minimal GSAP code starting point, ready to clone.
  • Plugins — which GSAP plugins are required.
  • Do not — recipe-specific traps.

Skeleton Conventions (read before cloning)

  • All skeletons assume the entire GSAP setup is wrapped in gsap.matchMedia() with (prefers-reduced-motion: reduce) handled. The skeletons omit the wrapper for brevity; do not ship without it. See motion-design-taste Section 7 and motion-anti-slop D1.
  • All skeletons use bundler-style imports (import { gsap } from "gsap"). For static HTML demos with no bundler, swap to https://esm.sh/gsap@<version> per gsap-plugins "Browser-native ESM CDN".
  • No back.* / elastic.* defaults appear in any skeleton; do not add them when adapting.
  • Cleanup is the caller's responsibility — use useGSAP (gsap-react) or gsap.context() + ctx.revert() (gsap-frameworks) when the recipe is dropped into a component.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
