video-grammar

video-grammar is a skill for Claude Code from taotao135791-bit/gsap-transform. It costs 223 tokens per session (3,511 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A visual guide for videos made from GSAP scenes, covering shot framing, virtual camera movement, transitions, pacing, and aspect-ratio composition.

In plain words
What is it for?
Designing the camera and timing language of promos, title sequences, stings, reels, and other MP4, WebM, or MOV videos.
Why use it?
It adds video-specific structure so a rendered animation feels like a sequence of shots rather than only a web page exported as video.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00223 $0.03511
Opus 5 $0.00112 $0.01755
Sonnet 5 $0.00045 $0.00702
Haiku 4.5 $0.00022 $0.00351

Security

Grade A, and why

video-grammar scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Video Grammar (Effect-Video Aesthetic Layer)

The aesthetic layer for video, sitting beside motion-design-taste. motion-design-taste owns the page (the three dials, the three motion modes, typography, color, layout). video-grammar owns what a page never has: shot framing, virtual camera movement, transitions between shots, beat-synced pacing, and aspect-ratio composition. The dials and motion modes still apply — a Cinematic-mode video (MOTION_INTENSITY 8-10) earns more camera moves than a Restrained one.

This is what turns output from "an animated web page rendered to mp4" into "an effect video." A page has no concept of a shot or a camera; a video is made of them.

When to Use This Skill

Load this skill in addition to motion-design-taste when the artifact is a rendered video (mp4/webm/mov) produced by /studio via motion-studio — promos, spots, title sequences, stings, reels, product launches. Do NOT load it for scrollable web pages; it adds vocabulary a page brief doesn't need.

Related skills: motion-design-taste (dials + modes, still apply), motion-studio (.camera wrapper lives in its template; render seek contract), motion-recipes (Kinetic Type Stagger, Minimal Fade as video-native bases), gsap-plugins (MorphSVG for shape transitions, SplitText for title reveals), motion-anti-slop Group V (the video-specific checks).

Section 0 — The .camera wrapper (the one idea everything builds on)

A video frames a subject. In GSAP-that-renders-to-video, framing is done by a single .camera wrapper that holds every shot's content; the master timeline animates the camera (scale + translate), and the shot content animates inside it. Keep those two animation surfaces separate:

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

video-grammar is a skill published in the GitHub repository taotao135791-bit/gsap-transform (2 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 223 tokens to every session and 3,511 once invoked, about $0.0011 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
