pr-triage

pr-triage is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from Tarekkharsa/agentstack. It costs 28 tokens per session (298 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A process for sorting open pull requests—proposed code changes—into merge, review, changes, or close groups. It records one clear next action and owner for each request.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to assess pull-request age, CI test status, approvals, review comments, and whether a request is ready, blocked, stale, or obsolete.
Why use it?
It reduces a large review backlog to an ordered set of decisions. It also keeps the agent from merging or closing requests without human confirmation.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00028 $0.00298
Opus 5 $0.00014 $0.00149
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00060
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00030

Security

Grade A, and why

pr-triage scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

PR Triage

Unofficial, agentstack-authored. Not affiliated with or endorsed by GitHub.

Use this skill when there are more open pull requests than anyone can review at once and you need to decide what to do with each.

Workflow

  1. List the open PRs with author, age, CI status, and review state.
  2. Sort each into exactly one bucket:
    • Merge — approved, green CI, no unresolved threads. Ready now.
    • Review — needs a human pass; note who should look and why.
    • Changes — failing CI or open review comments; the ball is with the author.
    • Close — stale, superseded, or abandoned. Say what supersedes it.
  3. For each PR, write one line: bucket, the single next action, and the owner.
  4. Surface the critical few first: small approved PRs that can merge immediately, then anything blocking other work.

Conventions

  • Prefer unblocking small, ready PRs before starting large reviews.
  • Do not merge or close anything automatically — produce the plan and let a human confirm.
  • Flag PRs older than two weeks with no activity as close candidates, but verify before recommending closure.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

pr-triage is a skill published in the GitHub repository Tarekkharsa/agentstack (3 stars, last pushed 20d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 28 tokens to every session and 298 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
