measure-and-time-posts

measure-and-time-posts is a skill for Claude Code from target1m/ravenpost-mcp. It costs 122 tokens per session (741 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A read-only tool for checking social-media account and post results in a Ravenpost workspace. It reports follower counts, recent engagement, and the posting hours that earned engagement for connected accounts.

In plain words
What is it for?
It helps answer how an account or post is doing, which post performed best, how many followers are reported, and when to post based on measured engagement.
Why use it?
It avoids guessing which posts performed well or treating missing platform data as zero.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00122 $0.00741
Opus 5.5 $0.00049 $0.00296
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00024 $0.00148
Haiku 4.5 $0.00012 $0.00074

Security

Grade A, and why

measure-and-time-posts scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Measure posts, and time the next one honestly

One tool does the measuring, and it is read-only:

  • get_analytics — followers per connected account with a 30-day daily series, plus engagement on recent posts.

Settle the workspace first (list_workspaces); analytics are per workspace, and an agency's clients are measured separately for a reason. Full argument list: ../publish-a-social-post/references/tools.md.

Absent is not zero

This is the rule that decides whether your answer is true.

  • An account's followers is null when that platform reports none — not when the account has none. Which platforms report nothing today is named in get_analytics's own description; trust that over memory, because it moves as permissions are granted. Say "Instagram reports followers; LinkedIn doesn't expose them", never "LinkedIn: 0".
  • A post metric that is missing was not collected. Do not add it into a total as a zero, and do not present a sum as complete when part of it is unknown.
  • collectedAt says when the numbers were last read from the platforms. If the user is surprised by a stale number, that is the explanation.
  • A post's source is ravenpost for one published from here and platform for one that was already on the account and imported so its engagement counts. Both are real posts; only the first went out through Ravenpost.

When to post

Ravenpost does not compute a "best time to post", and nothing it returns is one. When the user asks:

  • If the workspace runs a posting queue (list_queue_slots), its slots are the times this workspace has chosen to post. create_post with action: "queue" takes the next free one, with no arithmetic.
  • Otherwise ask for a time, or offer one plainly as a suggestion — never as a finding.
  • You may point at which recent posts earned the most engagement in get_analytics, but say how many posts that rests on. A handful of posts is an anecdote, not a measurement, and it does not make an hour "the best".

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
