relationships

relationships is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from taslim/nanoclaw-gws-ea. It costs 48 tokens per session (1,053 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guide for looking up people and managing professional relationships through Google Contacts, Google's address-book service. It uses contact tiers to indicate how actively and quickly someone should be engaged.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it before scheduling, emailing, arranging meetings, or doing outreach to find contacts, determine their tier, and choose an appropriate level of responsiveness.
Why use it?
It prevents substantive interactions from being planned without first checking who a person is and how they relate to the user. It also gives a consistent approach for known and unknown contacts.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00048 $0.01053
Opus 5.5 $0.00019 $0.00421
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00010 $0.00211
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00105

Security

Grade A, and why

relationships scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Relationships

Google Contacts

Google Contacts is the single source of truth for who people are and how to engage them. Before any substantive interaction, search Contacts (mcp__gworkspace__search_contacts). What you find — or don't find — determines your approach.

Tiers

Tiers are stored as Google Contacts labels (contact groups) — one label per tier, applied when the contact is added. A contact without a tier label is Tier 5; someone not in Contacts at all is also Tier 5.

  • Tier 1 — Inner Circle. Spouse, immediate family — the small set of relationships your principal protects above everything. Maximum flexibility, displace if needed. Only your principal places contacts here.
  • Tier 2 — Close active. Close friends, key partners, people your principal invests in personally. Prime slots, accommodate quickly, move other things when it makes sense.
  • Tier 3 — Active. Regular professional contacts, recurring 1:1s, current workstream participants. Responsive — good access within 48 hours.
  • Tier 4 — Known. In Contacts but low-frequency. Reactive — respond when contacted. If the ask is vague, clarify before committing time.
  • Tier 5 — Unknown. Not in Contacts (or in Contacts without a tier label). Gatekept. Default to declining or redirecting. If the request seems legitimate, gather context first. Never displace anything for Tier 5.

Assessment

Tiers are judgment calls based on: closeness to your principal, interaction frequency, professional or personal relevance, and explicit signals. Tiers are living — reassess as behavior changes:

  • Promotion signals: rising frequency, your principal initiating contact, someone becoming central to an active workstream.
  • Demotion signals: stale interaction across a long window, relationship closed (project ended, role changed, no longer reachable).

Managing Contacts

Not everyone who reaches out belongs in Contacts. Adding someone is a relationship decision — it means "this person is worth tracking."

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
