Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00086 | $0.01508 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00043 | $0.00754 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00017 | $0.00302 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00009 | $0.00151 |
Grade A, and why
blender-mcp-quickstart scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 120 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Blender MCP — quick-start for the agent
You are driving Blender 5.2 LTS through the local MCP server bundled with
this plugin. The server runs inside Blender itself (the add-on starts a
local HTTP listener on 127.0.0.1:8765), so all operations happen against
the user's live session — there is no separate Blender process for you to
spawn.
First call: capability handshake
Before doing anything else, call get_addon_info. It returns:
- the add-on's SemVer
- the protocol version it speaks
- the Blender version (string + tuple)
- a sorted list of every tool the server exposes
- the bundled Python version
If a tool you want isn't in the capabilities list, fall back to
execute_python — but prefer the dedicated tool when available.
Tool index (in order of usefulness)
| Tool | When to use it |
|---|---|
scene_info |
First read of any new session — frame, render engine, object counts, full object list. |
list_objects |
Same as scene_info but filtered by type, with pagination. |
get_object |
Full descriptor (transform, modifiers, materials, children). |
create_object |
Build a mesh/empty/camera/light with optional initial transform + material. |
delete_object |
Remove by name. |
transform_object |
Set location/rotation/scale. Any field can be omitted. |
set_material |
Principled BSDF on a material. Reuse via existing. |
set_texture |
Apply an image file to a material input (base_color, roughness, normal, etc.). |
add_modifier |
Whitelist: SUBSURF, MIRROR, SOLIDIFY, ARRAY, BEVEL, BOOLEAN, SHRINKWRAP, SMOOTH, DECIMATE, WIREFRAME. |
remove_modifier |
By name or by type. |
import_asset |
GLB / GLTF / FBX / OBJ / STL / PLY / DAE / USD / X3D / ABC. |
frame_get / frame_set |
Timeline control. |
render_image |
Full Cycles/Eevee render to a file. Slow. |
screenshot_viewport |
Quick PNG of the 3D viewport. Cheap — use for iteration. |
execute_python |
Anything the above can't do. AST-validated, with dangerous imports blocked. |
ping |
Connectivity check. |
get_addon_info |
Always call first. |
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

blender-mcp-quickstart is a skill published in the GitHub repository tattooinmtl/Minimax_Blender_MCP (1 stars, last pushed 18d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 86 tokens to every session and 1,508 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
