axiom-tech-debt

axiom-tech-debt is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from Team-Deepiri/deepiri-axiom. It costs 23 tokens per session (143 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A workflow for cataloguing and prioritising technical debt across Deepiri repositories. Technical debt is the future cost created by shortcuts, outdated code, or unresolved engineering problems.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to assess how serious known issues are, prioritise incidents and work blockers, estimate the cost of leaving or fixing them, and assign ownership.
Why use it?
It connects each problem to its practical cost, estimated fix effort, and responsible repository or team, making the backlog easier to schedule.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00023 $0.00143
Opus 5 $0.00012 $0.00072
Sonnet 5 $0.00005 $0.00029
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00014

Security

Grade A, and why

axiom-tech-debt scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Axiom Tech Debt

Use when asked to assess "how bad is this" or triage a backlog of known issues.

Framing

  • State the concrete cost of leaving it (incidents caused, dev time lost, onboarding friction) — not just "this is messy."
  • State the cost to fix, roughly, so it can be weighed against the cost of leaving it.
  • Assign an owning repo/team — debt with no owner never gets scheduled.

Prioritize debt that is actively causing incidents or blocking other work over debt that is merely unaesthetic.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
