telnyx-numbers-java

telnyx-numbers-java is a skill for Claude Code from team-telnyx/ai. It costs 23 tokens per session (4,942 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of telnyx-numbers-go, MIT.

A Java library for searching, ordering, and managing Telnyx phone numbers by location, features, and coverage. Telnyx is a communications service that provides phone numbers through an API.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to list available numbers, order numbers, and manage them while handling authentication, validation, rate-limit, and network errors.
Why use it?
It avoids having to build these phone-number operations and request handling from scratch in a Java application.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00023 $0.04942
Opus 5 $0.00012 $0.02471
Sonnet 5 $0.00005 $0.00988
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00494

Security

Grade A, and why

telnyx-numbers-java scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Telnyx Numbers - Java

Installation

<!-- Maven -->
<dependency>
    <groupId>com.telnyx.sdk</groupId>
    <artifactId>telnyx</artifactId>
    <version>6.89.0</version>
</dependency>

// Gradle
implementation("com.telnyx.sdk:telnyx:6.89.0")

Setup

import com.telnyx.sdk.client.TelnyxClient;
import com.telnyx.sdk.client.okhttp.TelnyxOkHttpClient;

TelnyxClient client = TelnyxOkHttpClient.fromEnv();

All examples below assume client is already initialized as shown above.

Error Handling

All API calls can fail with network errors, rate limits (429), validation errors (422), or authentication errors (401). Always handle errors in production code:

import com.telnyx.sdk.models.availablephonenumbers.AvailablePhoneNumberListParams;
import com.telnyx.sdk.models.availablephonenumbers.AvailablePhoneNumberListResponse;
AvailablePhoneNumberListResponse availablePhoneNumbers = client.availablePhoneNumbers().list();

Common error codes: 401 invalid API key, 403 insufficient permissions, 404 resource not found, 422 validation error (check field formats), 429 rate limited (retry with exponential backoff).

Important Notes

  • Phone numbers must be in E.164 format (e.g., +13125550001). Include the + prefix and country code. No spaces, dashes, or parentheses.
  • Pagination: List methods return a page. Use .autoPager() for automatic iteration: for (var item : page.autoPager()) { ... }. For manual control, use .hasNextPage() and .nextPage().

Reference Use Rules

Do not invent Telnyx parameters, enums, response fields, or webhook fields.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
