metis: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/24-value-audit/SKILL.md

value-audit is a skill for Claude Code from terrene-foundation/metis. It costs 86 tokens per session (532 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A quality-review method for enterprise product demonstrations that examines both whether a product works and whether its story is credible to a potential buyer. It checks the connection between features, data, metrics and the promised business outcome.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to review demo readiness, test whether a product communicates value, check data and metrics for credibility, critique the buyer experience, and assess the full path from problem to outcome.
Why use it?
A technically working demo can still fail if screens are empty, figures contradict the story, or features do not lead clearly to value. This method helps identify those problems before showing the product.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00086 $0.00532
Opus 5 $0.00043 $0.00266
Sonnet 5 $0.00017 $0.00106
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00053

Security

Grade A, and why

value-audit scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Value Audit Skills

Enterprise demo QA methodology that goes beyond functional testing to evaluate whether a product tells a compelling, credible story to skeptical enterprise buyers.

Quick Reference

Skill File Purpose When to Use
value-audit-methodology.md Full audit methodology, Five Questions framework, 3-level evaluation Running a complete value audit
demo-readiness-checklist.md Pre-demo verification with pass/fail criteria Quick readiness check before a demo
value-flow-patterns.md Common value flow patterns for enterprise AI platforms, anti-patterns Analyzing or designing value flows
full-demo-audit.md Combined technical + value audit orchestration (testing-specialist + value-auditor) Running both technical and value QA in sequence

Core Concept

Traditional QA asks: "Does it work?" Value Audit asks: "Does it sell?"

A product can pass every functional test and still fail a demo because:

  • Pages show zero data (empty room problem)
  • Features exist in isolation without connecting to the value story
  • Metrics contradict the narrative (100% success with 0 completions)
  • The transformation story (before → after) is missing

The Five Questions

Every page, section, and element is interrogated with:

  1. What is this FOR? — Business outcome, not feature description
  2. What does it LEAD TO? — Connection in the value chain
  3. Why do I NEED this? — What breaks if it doesn't exist
  4. How do I USE this? — Path from viewing to getting value
  5. Where's the PROOF? — Evidence it works, not promise it can

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
