microcoreos-architecture

microcoreos-architecture is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from theanibalos/MicroCoreOS. It costs 34 tokens per session (381 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

An architecture guide for working in a MicroCoreOS codebase, where the operating system is split into a small core and separate tools, plugins, and domains.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when creating or changing MicroCoreOS core code, tools, plugins, or domains, and when checking the required build and verification commands.
Why use it?
It directs each role to the correct instructions and files, reducing unnecessary reading and preventing duplicated or conflicting rules.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00034 $0.00381
Opus 5 $0.00017 $0.00191
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.00076
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00038

Measured 5d ago against content hash 2a2b19425421, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-05, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

microcoreos-architecture scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

MicroCoreOS Architecture Skill

Read AGENTS.md and follow the route for your role. That table names the one or two files your role needs and, just as importantly, the ones it must not open — a Planner that also loads the plugin templates spends ~3,000 tokens on code it will never write.

This file deliberately holds no rules, no reading path and no checklist of its own. It is a routing table and nothing else: every row points at the one place that owns its subject. Add a rule, a path or a checklist here and it becomes a rival copy of something canonical — which is the one failure this file exists to prevent.

You need It is in
The rules AGENTS.md § Non-Negotiable Rules (canonical)
Kernel/tool/event-bus laws AGENTS.md § Core Architectural Laws
The plugin template AI_CONTEXT.md § Plugin Authoring Guide (regenerated every boot)
What exists right now AI_CONTEXT.md § Available Tools / § Domains
The plan format and its 18 rules docs/PARALLEL_DEVELOPMENT.md § Phase 1
Anti-patterns, testing, building a tool INSTRUCTIONS_FOR_AI.md

Before you finish, the gates are commands, not a checklist to eyeball:

microcoreos plan validate # the plan is a contract — zero errors
uv run -m pytest # green
microcoreos status # manifest still describes the code on disk

What ships with it

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
