social-amplification

social-amplification is a skill for Claude Code from Thibaultbm/claude-seo-geo. It costs 99 tokens per session (5,497 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow that turns one main article or other substantial piece of content into posts for YouTube, Reddit and LinkedIn. It focuses on branded searches and the online pages that AI systems may cite, rather than treating social posts as a direct search-ranking lever.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to repurpose a main article into platform-specific posts, plan distribution for search and AI visibility, and record the resulting SEO actions in a local knowledge base.
Why use it?
It helps distribute existing content without assuming that social activity directly improves search rankings. It also uses an organisation’s local notes when available to keep recommendations tied to known facts and past SEO work.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00099 $0.05497
Opus 5 $0.00049 $0.02749
Sonnet 5 $0.00020 $0.01099
Haiku 4.5 $0.00010 $0.00550

Security

Grade A, and why

social-amplification scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Social Amplification: Distribution for SEO and GEO

This skill covers how social distribution and content repurposing serve search rankings and AI visibility, and how they do not, so the effort goes where it actually pays back.

The framing that governs everything below: social distribution does not move rankings directly. It is an indirect channel. Treated as a direct ranking lever it wastes budget; treated as a feeder system for branded search and AI citation surfaces it compounds. This skill is honest about which is which, because the wrong belief here burns quarters on vanity metrics.

Company knowledge first (Obsidian)

If the working environment contains an Obsidian vault or any local knowledge base (a folder of .md notes, often with a .obsidian directory), read the relevant notes before acting: brand and product facts, target keywords, competitors, and the SEO action log of what was already tried. Ground every recommendation in that context instead of asking the user for facts the vault already holds. At the end of the session, append the actions taken to the vault's SEO action log so the next session starts informed. Vault structure, read-first and write-back protocols: the obsidian-brain skill.

When to use this skill

Use this skill when the user wants to:

  • Distribute or amplify content they already published (a blog post, a study, a guide).
  • Repurpose one pillar asset into a week or a month of native social content.
  • Improve YouTube discoverability for search and AI answers (titles, descriptions, transcripts).
  • Show up on Reddit, LinkedIn, or YouTube specifically because AI engines cite those surfaces.
  • Appear when people ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Gemini, through social presence rather than on-site work.
  • Understand whether social media helps their Google SEO (the answer is indirect, and this skill explains how).
  • Build branded search demand that supports rankings and AI visibility.

Boundaries, stated plainly so the work lands in the right skill:

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
