glyphs-mcp-features

glyphs-mcp-features is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from thierryc/Glyphs-mcp. It costs 39 tokens per session (377 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A set of instructions for inspecting OpenType font features in Glyphs, including stylistic sets, character variants, and related glyph groups. Glyphs is a font-design application.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to list style sets, see their tags and names, count substitutions, identify affected glyphs, and open available group details.
Why use it?
It gives a defined way to inspect how font features change glyphs without modifying or saving the font.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00039 $0.00377
Opus 5 $0.00019 $0.00188
Sonnet 5 $0.00008 $0.00075
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00038

Security

Grade A, and why

glyphs-mcp-features scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Glyphs MCP features

Use this skill for OpenType feature inspection, especially stylistic-set listings.

Core rules

  • For "style set", "stylistic set", or ssXX listing questions, call list_style_sets first.
  • Use each style set's showMarkdown group link in the final answer when available. It should be an HTTP bridge link so clients render it as clickable.
  • Do not render linked glyph names as inline code.
  • Default to one group-level link per style set; only add per-glyph links if the user asks.
  • If showUrlUnavailableReason is present, report why links are unavailable.
  • Never mutate or auto-save the font for feature inspection.

Workflow

  1. Read current font context with list_open_fonts.
  2. Call list_style_sets for the target font.
  3. Summarize each set with:
    • tag and name
    • substitution count
    • group-level showMarkdown
    • source glyphs affected by the feature
  4. Mention skipped unsupported/contextual rules only when the tool reports warnings.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
