map-limitation-periods-l0cka

map-limitation-periods-l0cka is a skill for Codex from ThomasMoreAI/legal-skills-open. It costs 143 tokens per session (1,035 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A legal research workflow for mapping possible limitation periods—the time limits for starting civil claims—across Australian states, territories, and Commonwealth law.

In plain words
What is it for?
It helps list candidate limitation periods, identify issues such as discoverability or fraud, and flag missing accrual dates that prevent calculation.
Why use it?
It shows which time limits may apply under different descriptions of a claim and jurisdictions, while making clear that the result is a triage marker rather than legal advice.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00143 $0.01035
Opus 5.5 $0.00057 $0.00414
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00029 $0.00207
Haiku 4.5 $0.00014 $0.00103

Security

Grade A, and why

map-limitation-periods-l0cka scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 22d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

Map Limitation Periods

Map a described cause of action to candidate limitation periods with assumptions stated, candidates for every plausible characterisation and jurisdiction, and the earliest candidate marked as the conservative marker — a triage convention, never advice.

Read the source and control method, use an approved profile per the deadline profile schema and work from the limitation registry.

Workflow

  1. Fix the claim and the inputs.
    • Record the described facts, every plausible characterisation of the cause of action, every plausibly applicable jurisdiction and the assessment date.
    • Record the lawyer-supplied accrual or discoverability date for each characterisation as an assumption. Never derive one: a missing accrual date makes that candidate cannot be computed from inputs.
  2. Map candidates from the registry.
    • For each characterisation and jurisdiction, take the candidate period and statutory basis from the registry. Registry entries are routing leads: verify each period relied on through the jurisdiction's checker ($check-commonwealth-legislation, $check-nsw-legislation, $check-victoria-legislation or the applicable sibling) at the assessment date and record the evidence state.
    • Flag every potentially engaged special regime and every postponement or extension provision as a flag, never a conclusion.
  3. Rank conservatively.
    • Order candidates by date and mark the earliest as the conservative marker. State plainly that the marker is a triage convention and that characterisation, accrual and any extension are the responsible lawyer's calls.
  4. Set the human decision gate.
    • Name the confirmer who must resolve characterisation, confirm the controlling candidate and enter dates in the diary system of record.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
