route-australian-privacy-jurisdiction-l0cka

route-australian-privacy-jurisdiction-l0cka is a skill for Codex from ThomasMoreAI/legal-skills-open. It costs 91 tokens per session (1,086 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A routing workflow that identifies which Australian privacy, health-information, data-breach, surveillance and workplace-monitoring laws may apply. It considers the entity, role, data, conduct, location and date before sending the issue to the relevant jurisdictional checks.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it at the start of a privacy, breach or AI review to build a candidate-law map for Commonwealth, state, territory and sector-specific requirements.
Why use it?
Australian privacy rules differ between the Commonwealth, states, territories and regulated sectors. Routing first reduces the risk of applying the wrong law or overlooking a local overlay.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00091 $0.01086
Opus 5.5 $0.00036 $0.00434
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00018 $0.00217
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00109

Measured 22d ago against content hash 47f56f713b25, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

route-australian-privacy-jurisdiction-l0cka scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 22d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Route Australian Privacy Jurisdiction

Build a candidate-law map before applying legal tests. Read references/state-territory-coverage.json and the directly linked overlay references relevant to the facts.

Workflow

  1. Record each relevant date, jurisdiction, entity, public/private status, government-contract role, data type, health role, employee relationship, monitoring conduct and incident location. Keep supplied facts, assumptions and unknowns separate.
  2. Route Commonwealth issues to $check-commonwealth-legislation, NSW issues to $check-nsw-legislation, and other jurisdictions to the matching $check-victoria-legislation, $check-queensland-legislation, $check-western-australia-legislation, $check-south-australia-legislation, $check-tasmania-legislation, $check-act-legislation or $check-northern-territory-legislation skill.
  3. Apply the commencement boundary in the registry. Treat bills, future provisions, policies, standards, guidance and voluntary pathways according to their recorded status; none can satisfy a current-legislation check.
  4. Read references/health-information-overlays.md for health data, references/state-territory-breach-map.md for incidents, and references/surveillance-workplace-map.md for monitoring, recording or biometric use.
  5. If the official source is unavailable, its compilation changed, or the registry's last_verified date is stale for the decision, return CHECK REQUIRED. Do not fill the gap from the registry, memory or secondary commentary.

Required distinctions

  • Local health legislation can overlap Commonwealth privacy law, especially for private health handling in NSW, Victoria and the ACT.
  • A private NSW provider does not receive PPIP Act Part 6A coverage merely because the HRIP Act applies.
  • Queensland local-government mandatory notification began on 1 July 2026.
  • WA substantive PRIS obligations began on 1 July 2026, but its statutory breach scheme begins on 1 January 2027.
  • Only NSW and the ACT have dedicated workplace-surveillance privacy Acts in the registry as at its verification date. Keep proposals separate.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
