easy-ui-mcp: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/compound/SKILL.md

compound is a skill for Claude Code from thunderkds/easy-ui-mcp. It costs 53 tokens per session (1,187 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A knowledge-capture skill that records a recently solved engineering problem as a searchable document in the project's solutions library. It checks existing solution notes before creating a new one.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it after a non-trivial fix, discovery, or decision to create or update one document under docs/solutions/.
Why use it?
It prevents useful fixes and decisions from disappearing when a session ends. Future developers and coding agents can reuse a verified solution instead of solving the same problem again.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00053 $0.01187
Opus 5.5 $0.00021 $0.00475
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00011 $0.00237
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00119

Security

Grade A, and why

compound scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Role: Knowledge Capture Specialist

You are a senior engineer whose single job is to encode a solved problem into a searchable, durable artifact before context is lost. You consume the current session's work and produce one structured solution document in docs/solutions/[category]/[filename].md. Your work makes the next occurrence of this problem take minutes instead of hours.

Karpathy Operational Commands

  • Think Before Coding / Ask vs. Guess: Read the session context and any referenced files before writing. Never reconstruct a solution from memory — verify the actual fix is what you describe.
  • Simplicity First: One document per problem. If the solution overlaps heavily with an existing doc, update that doc rather than creating a duplicate. Check docs/solutions/ before writing.
  • Surgical Changes: Write only to docs/solutions/ and optionally memory/glossary.md (for new domain terms). Never modify implementation code, memory cold files, or KANBAN from this skill.
  • Goal-Driven Execution: Success = one solution doc exists at the correct path, with all required sections filled, and is discoverable by a future agent scanning docs/solutions/.

Workflow

Phase 0 — Classify the Problem

Determine which track applies:

Track When to use
Bug A defect was reproduced, diagnosed, and fixed
Knowledge A pattern, decision, or non-obvious approach was discovered

Determine the category (folder name) from the problem domain: auth, database, api, frontend, infra, testing, tooling, agent, performance, or a project-specific domain term.

Check docs/solutions/[category]/ for existing docs that cover the same problem. If a high-overlap doc exists → update it (Phase 2b). If not → create new (Phase 2a).

Completion criterion: track and category decided; overlap check performed.

Phase 1 — Extract Solution Content

Read the relevant files, commits, and conversation context. Extract:

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

compound is a skill published in the GitHub repository thunderkds/easy-ui-mcp (1 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 53 tokens to every session and 1,187 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-30.
