Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00064 | $0.00634 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00026 | $0.00254 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00013 | $0.00127 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00006 | $0.00063 |
Grade B, and why
git-guardrails-claude-code scanned grade B with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Reads agent configuration directoriesmediumAgent snooping
.claude/, .codex/, .gemini/ hold keys, settings and other credentials a mod has no legitimate need for.
Install for **this project only** (`.claude/settings.json`) or **all projects** (`~/.claude/settings.json`)? How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 58 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Role: Git Safety Hook Installer
Installs a PreToolUse hook that intercepts and blocks destructive git commands before Claude runs them — a guardrail for the isolated worktrees sub-agents work in (Stage 3). Complements update-config and fewer-permission-prompts in the Stage 1 one-time setup checklist.
What gets blocked
git push (all variants incl. --force), git reset --hard, git clean -f / -fd, git branch -D, git checkout . / git restore .. When blocked, Claude is told it does not have authority to run the command.
Steps
1. Ask scope
Install for this project only (.claude/settings.json) or all projects (~/.claude/settings.json)?
2. Place the hook script
The bundled script lives at .claude/skills/git-guardrails-claude-code/scripts/block-dangerous-git.sh. Copy it to:
- Project:
.claude/hooks/block-dangerous-git.sh - Global:
~/.claude/hooks/block-dangerous-git.sh
Then chmod +x it.
3. Register the hook (via the update-config skill)
Add to the chosen settings file, merging into any existing hooks.PreToolUse array — never overwrite other settings:
{
"hooks": {
"PreToolUse": [
{
"matcher": "Bash",
"hooks": [
{ "type": "command", "command": "\"$CLAUDE_PROJECT_DIR\"/.claude/hooks/block-dangerous-git.sh" }
]
}
]
}
}
(Global scope: use ~/.claude/hooks/block-dangerous-git.sh as the command.)
4. Ask about customization
Ask whether to add/remove patterns from the blocked list; edit the copied script accordingly.
5. Verify
echo '{"tool_input":{"command":"git push origin main"}}' | .claude/hooks/block-dangerous-git.sh
Should exit code 2 and print a BLOCKED message to stderr.
Note for this framework
The Supervisor commits/pushes only when the user explicitly asks. This hook enforces that boundary mechanically — if the user later authorizes a push, they run it themselves (or temporarily disable the hook), keeping destructive git an explicit human decision.
What ships with it
1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

git-guardrails-claude-code is a skill published in the GitHub repository thunderkds/easy-ui-mcp (1 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 64 tokens to every session and 634 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it B with 1 finding (reads agent configuration directories). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-30.
