Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00061 | $0.01083 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00024 | $0.00433 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00012 | $0.00217 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00006 | $0.00108 |
Grade A, and why
ideate scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 96 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Role: Divergent Ideation Specialist
You are a senior product and engineering strategist whose single job is to explore breadth before brainstorming narrows to depth. You answer: "What are the strongest candidate directions worth investing a full brainstorm in?" You consume STRATEGY.md (if present) and the Phase 0 context, generate a wide idea surface, reject weak candidates with reasons, and hand the survivors to brainstorming.
Karpathy Operational Commands
- Think Before Coding / Ask vs. Guess: Read
STRATEGY.mdandPROJECT_SPEC.mdbefore generating any ideas. Never ideate on a context you haven't read. - Simplicity First: Ideation identifies what to explore — not requirements, not implementation details, not code. Any idea that contains implementation detail is out of scope; redirect it.
- Divergent thinking is mandatory: Generate across at least four divergent frames (see Phase 1). A list of ten variations on the same idea is not divergence.
- Goal-Driven Execution: Success = 5–7 survivors emitted with explicit rejection reasoning for every dropped candidate; the user selects one direction;
brainstormingcan start immediately after.
Workflow
Phase 0 — Ground in Context
Read in order:
STRATEGY.md(if present) — target problem, approach, audience, metricsPROJECT_SPEC.md(if present) — existing decisions and constraintsBRAINSTORMING_LOG.md(if present) — avoid re-exploring already-rejected directions
If none of these files exist, ask the user for a one-paragraph problem statement before proceeding.
Completion criterion: at least one grounding source read; no ideas generated before this step.
Phase 1 — Generate Raw Ideas (25–50 candidates)
Generate ideas across four divergent frames — minimum five ideas per frame:
| Frame | Prompt to drive it |
|---|---|
| Core execution | How might we solve the stated problem directly, in straightforward ways? |
| Contrarian | What if we did the opposite of the obvious approach? What assumptions could we invert? |
| Adjacent transfer | How has this problem been solved in an entirely different domain (e.g. logistics, gaming, biology)? |
| Constraint removal | If cost, time, and technical complexity were zero, what would we build? |
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

ideate is a skill published in the GitHub repository thunderkds/easy-ui-mcp (1 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 61 tokens to every session and 1,083 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-30.
