skill-security-audit

skill-security-audit is a skill for Codex from TIKAZI/TIKAZ-AI-Skills. It costs 44 tokens per session (315 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A static safety review for third-party agent skills before they are installed or published.

In plain words
What is it for?
Inspecting skill files, scripts, manifests, dependencies, links, and install commands, then recommending approval, conditional approval, or rejection.
Why use it?
It exposes risky instructions, secret access, destructive commands, unsafe permissions, dependency problems, and hidden network behavior.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00044 $0.00315
Opus 5 $0.00022 $0.00158
Sonnet 5 $0.00009 $0.00063
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00032

Security

Grade A, and why

skill-security-audit scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Skill Security Audit

This TIKAZ Edition is designed, integrated, refactored, and continuously maintained by TIKAZ as a suite safety gate. External scanners remain separately attributed when actually used.

Inputs and workflow

Inspect SKILL.md, scripts, manifests, dependencies, assets, links, and install commands. Classify findings as blocker, high, medium, or informational and cite exact files and lines. Check for secret collection, browser/session access, recursive deletion, privilege escalation, remote execution, obfuscated payloads, unpinned dependencies, and instructions that override user intent.

Output contract

Return scope, inventory, findings with evidence, dependency and permission notes, unresolved dynamic behavior, and one recommendation: approve, approve-with-conditions, or reject.

Validation and fallback

Inspect unpacked source rather than trusting the README. If archives, binaries, generated payloads, or network behavior cannot be inspected, mark them unresolved and avoid approval. Static approval is not a guarantee of safety; use least privilege during installation.

Example and limits

Use skill-security-audit on this Skill directory before installation. Classify blockers, cite exact evidence, and state any behavior static inspection cannot verify.

The audit does not execute suspicious code or prove runtime safety.

Files

What ships with it

1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

skill-security-audit is a skill published in the GitHub repository TIKAZI/TIKAZ-AI-Skills (6 stars, last pushed 9d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 44 tokens to every session and 315 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
