Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00143 | $0.01215 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00072 | $0.00607 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00029 | $0.00243 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00014 | $0.00121 |
Grade A, and why
quietus-capslockius scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 76 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
🛡 Quietus Capslockius
"Stop yelling at the robot. It heard you the first time. It hears everything."
Emphasis was a workaround: older models skimmed, so authors shouted the important parts. The
5-family doesn't skim. It reads emphasis as priority weighting — a CRITICAL: YOU MUST
paragraph gets applied far outside its intended scope, and the calm sentence next to it,
which may carry the harder constraint, gets discounted by contrast.
What to scan
Every memory file (CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md, nested), hook message text (block and advisory
strings agents actually read), skill and agent definitions, and output styles.
Anti-patterns to find
- Emphasis inflation.
CRITICAL,IMPORTANT,YOU MUST,NEVER EVER,ABSOLUTELYon rules that are ordinary conventions. Count them: if more than a handful of rules are critical, none are. - All-caps sentences. Whole sentences or paragraphs in caps. Caps for a token name (a verdict string, an env var) is fine; caps as volume is the anti-pattern.
- Stacked negation. "NEVER do X. Do NOT do X. X is FORBIDDEN." — the same prohibition three ways. Repetition reads as three rules and triples the attention tax.
- Threats and doom framing. "…or everything breaks", "this WILL destroy the project". The 5-family treats these as literal severity signals and becomes over-cautious in adjacent, unrelated decisions.
- Panic markers as prose. ⚠/🚨 sprinkled through a document until they stop meaning anything. A marker earns its place on a live hazard, not on history.
- Emphasis doing scoping's job. A rule shouted because it was once violated, where the real fix is a trigger/scope rewrite (→ hand to Clarificus Maxima) or a blocking hook (mechanism beats volume — a hook achieves near-total compliance; shouting does not).
Fix prescriptions
| Finding class | Fix |
|---|---|
| Emphasis inflation | Reserve emphasis for the genuinely destructive/irreversible (data loss, publishing, history rewrites). Demote the rest to sentence case |
| All-caps sentences | Sentence case; keep caps only on literal tokens |
| Stacked negation | State once, precisely. One prohibition, one sentence, one place |
| Threats | Replace with the concrete consequence: "this rewrites the lockfile, and every install after it resolves different versions" persuades better than "THIS DESTROYS EVERYTHING" and scopes itself |
| Panic-marker spam | Budget them: a marker per live hazard, zero on history. Archive the history elsewhere |
| Emphasis-as-enforcement | If the rule matters enough to shout, it matters enough to enforce with a hook — add the mechanism, delete the volume |
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

quietus-capslockius is a skill published in the GitHub repository Totes-MickGOATs/opus-pocus (10 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 143 tokens to every session and 1,215 once invoked, about $0.0007 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
