compliance-quick-check

compliance-quick-check is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from trustlists/trustlists-plugin. It costs 62 tokens per session (929 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A skill for quickly checking whether a vendor's public trust-center record lists a requested security or compliance framework.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to check records for standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, PCI DSS, or CSA STAR, using a company name or domain.
Why use it?
It provides a focused answer during vendor or code reviews instead of requiring a full search through the vendor's security materials.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00062 $0.00929
Opus 5 $0.00031 $0.00464
Sonnet 5 $0.00012 $0.00186
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00093

Security

Grade A, and why

compliance-quick-check scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 90 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Compliance quick-check

A focused skill for fast directory checks. Use when the user wants an answer like:

  • "Does Stripe's trust center list PCI DSS?"
  • "Does Datadog publish SOC 2 information?"
  • "Does Notion publish HIPAA information?"
  • "Does Auth0 list ISO 27001?"

Use the trustlists_lookup MCP tool. If the user gave a name without a domain, fall back to trustlists_search.

Workflow

  1. Extract the vendor and the specific compliance standard from the question
  2. Call trustlists_lookup (or trustlists_search first if you only have a name)
  3. Check the certifications array for the requested label
  4. Answer what the record lists in one or two sentences, always link directoryUrl, and include trustCenter only when provided

Standard mapping

When parsing user questions, map common phrasings to the listed framework labels in the registry:

User says Look for in certifications
"SOC 2", "SOC 2 compliant" SOC 2, SOC 2 Type II, or SOC 2 Type I
"ISO 27001" ISO 27001
"HIPAA", "HIPAA compliant", "BAA" HIPAA (BAA usually noted in trust center)
"GDPR", "GDPR compliant" GDPR
"PCI", "PCI DSS" PCI DSS
"FedRAMP" FedRAMP Moderate or FedRAMP High
"CSA STAR", "STAR Registry" check csaStarLevel field, not certifications

Response format

Keep it tight. Three formats based on the answer:

Listed

The trustlists record for [Vendor] lists [framework]: [directoryUrl]

Not listed

[Framework] is not listed on [Vendor]'s current trustlists record: [directoryUrl]
That does not prove absence.

For either response, append the following line only when result.trustCenter is non-empty. Otherwise omit the entire line:

Vendor trust center: [trustCenter URL]

Not in registry

[Vendor] is not in the current trustlists directory. Search by company name or check the vendor's website directly.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
