data-export

A Salesforce data export tool that runs a SOQL query, Salesforce's query language, and saves the results as a CSV or JSON file.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to save Salesforce records for analysis in Excel or Google Sheets, or for use by another program. A connection to a Salesforce organization is required.
Why use it?
It handles paging through results and offers a bulk method for very large exports, so developers do not need to assemble the export manually.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00094 $0.01719
Opus 5 $0.00047 $0.00860
Sonnet 5 $0.00019 $0.00344
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00172

Security

Grade A, and why

data-export scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 1 executable file (scripts/export.js), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Data Export

Export Salesforce query results to a local CSV or JSON file. Handles automatic pagination to fetch all records and supports Bulk API 2.0 for very large datasets.

Prerequisites

You must be authenticated to a Salesforce org before exporting data. If not authenticated, run the authentication script first.

Authentication

If the user is not authenticated or gets an auth error, run the authentication script:

node ${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/scripts/sf-auth.js --status

To authenticate interactively (opens browser):

node ${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/scripts/sf-auth.js --alias <alias>

To authenticate to a sandbox:

node ${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/scripts/sf-auth.js --alias <alias> --instance-url https://test.salesforce.com

See scripts/sf-auth.js --help for all authentication options.

Usage

node ${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/skills/data-export/scripts/export.js "<SOQL>" --output <file-path> [options]

Options

Option Short Description Default
--output -f Output file path (required)
--format csv or json auto-detected from file extension
--target-org -o Target org alias or username default org
--all-rows Include deleted/archived records false
--bulk Use Bulk API 2.0 for large exports false
--wait -w Minutes to wait for bulk job (default: 10) 10
--json Print export metadata as JSON to stdout
--help -h Show help

Examples

node ${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/skills/data-export/scripts/export.js "SELECT Id, Name, Email FROM Lead" -f leads.csv --bulk

# Bulk export with longer wait time
node ${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/skills/data-export/scripts/export.js "SELECT Id, Name FROM Contact" -f contacts.csv --bulk --wait 20

What ships with it

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

data-export is a skill published in the GitHub repository tsmztech/claude-code-plugins (2 stars, last pushed 6mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 94 tokens to every session and 1,719 once invoked, about $0.0005 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
