fundraising

fundraising is a skill for Claude Code from tushaarmehtaa/tushar-skills. It costs 39 tokens per session (807 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guide for deciding whether a startup should raise venture capital and for preparing the fundraising process. It evaluates the company’s evidence, story, financing needs, investors, meetings, and diligence materials.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to assess venture fit, review a pitch deck or memo, plan a funding round, research suitable investors, prepare for meetings, and organize answers and documents for diligence.
Why use it?
It helps separate weaknesses in the pitch from weaknesses in the business itself. It also connects the amount raised with runway, ownership dilution, spending, and measurable milestones.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00039 $0.00807
Opus 5 $0.00019 $0.00404
Sonnet 5 $0.00008 $0.00161
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00081

Security

Grade A, and why

fundraising scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Fundraising

Separate storytelling problems from company-fact problems. Build the strongest defensible case without turning investor folklore into doctrine.

Choose a mode

  • Raise/no-raise: test whether venture capital fits the company and alternatives.
  • Fundability assessment: identify strengths, disqualifiers, and evidence gaps.
  • Deck or memo audit: test narrative, claims, metrics, and consistency.
  • Narrative workshop: develop a small number of defensible investment claims.
  • Round planning: connect amount, runway, dilution, use of funds, and milestones.
  • Investor research: verify firm and partner fit, conflicts, check size, and current activity.
  • Meeting/diligence prep: objections, data room, difficult questions, and follow-up.

Use only the modes needed.

Workflow

  1. Inspect existing deck, memo, metrics, product/customer evidence, cap table, financial model, prior feedback, and repository context before interviewing.
  2. Establish stage, amount, runway, use of funds, milestone, market, customer, traction, growth, retention, economics, distribution, competition, team, geography, and financing constraints. Ask only blocking questions.
  3. Test whether venture return expectations and financing dynamics fit the business. Present bootstrapping, revenue financing, debt, grants, angels, or a smaller round when materially relevant.
  4. Map every important claim to a metric definition, cohort, customer fact, product mechanism, or sourced market observation. Flag unsupported claims and inconsistent periods or denominators.
  5. Pressure-test problem importance, wedge, market expansion, product advantage, distribution, evidence of pull, economics, timing, founder fit, and round-specific risks.
  6. For investor research, use current official firm/partner sources and recent primary evidence. Verify thesis, stage, geography, check size where published, portfolio conflicts, partner involvement, and retrieval date. Do not infer active interest.
  7. Build headlines and evidence before slide prose. Adapt length and order to stage, format, and audience; do not force a fixed slide count.
  8. Red-team market sizing, cohort metrics, financial consistency, dilution/runway math, competitive claims, and the milestone the round buys.
  9. Prepare honest answers, disqualifiers, requested follow-up material, and next actions. Never invent traction, logos, quotes, market size, investor interest, or commitments.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
